HOW DO I GET MY FREE LEI GREETING FOR TWO?
If you are staying 7 nights or longer, you will receive a free lei greeting for two people upon arrival at LIH airport. Once you complete your reservation, you will need to provide your flight details and we will take care of the rest. The Lei greeting will take place at the baggage claim area.

DOES IT HAVE A VIEW OF THE OCEAN?
YES! It has a partial view of the ocean and overlooks Moir Gardens. The walk to the beach is just about 3 minutes from the front door.

DOES THE CONDO INCLUDE USE OF A POOL & FITNESS CENTER?
Yes. All Kiahuna Plantation guests have free access to the Poipu Beach Athletic Club across the street. For access you will check in at Poipu Beach Athletic Club. You will find a large swimming pool, water slide, hot tub, full gym, full locker rooms, 2 half basketball courts, 3 pickleball courts and 4 tennis courts. They provide all sporting equipment such as basketballs, tennis racquets and balls, pickleball equipment, table tennis, etc. Lastly, there is an onsite restaurant and bar with full service and a great menu.

WHAT FLOOR IS THE CONDO ON?
Our condo is on the 2nd floor of Bldg. 38 which requires walking up a small flight of stairs. Just a few steps from where you will park which is convenient for bringing in luggage and groceries!

DOES THE CONDO HAVE AIR CONDITIONING?
YES! There is a powerful AC unit in the living room. The unit also has a ceiling fan in each room, extra portable fans as well as vented windows to maximize the flow of the ocean breeze.

CAN YOU HEAR ROAD NOISE FROM THE CONDO?
No. This unit is far enough away from Poipu Road where the road noise comes from.

IS BEACH GEAR INCLUDED?
Yes! The condo includes bodyboards, beach chairs, beach mats and a cooler. There is rental hut on the beach that provides free beach towels, free beach chairs and additional paid beach gear rentals.

GOOD TO KNOW:
- Coffee machine is a 12 cup regular drip. Ground hawaiian coffee for one pot is provided.
- Washer and Dryer takes credit card only

The air conditioning was not affective in the bedroom. It was stuffy and warm at night for sleeping.The living room and kitchen was a comfortable temperature. When we checked In The room was NOT clean the bathroom tub was dirty, floors had stuff all over it. Sliding glass doors were dirty. The carpet looked dirty and needs replacing. The wood floor is peeling up through out the whole unit. We could see the ocean through the breezeway of the building in front of us and a little bit through other buildings openings. The Lani furniture and items need to be replaced items are worn or broken. The glass table had broken glass. The night time Check in process was very stressful. It would have been easier to send us the door code and ask us to check in the morning which we did anyways. They did send cleaning people in when we mentioned it was dirty. It was much improved when we returned to the unit. The laminate on closet doors are damaged with wood missing. The kitchen was missing essential items like dish washing soap and bags. Small storage bowls etc. The unit is in a great location close to the little mall across the street. We found it to be quiet and roomy. The unit was inaccurately advertised as it said it was newly refurbished. It appears as though it needs to be refurbished now.

Vacation with 2 kids

The property felt safe, was clean and nice. Across the street from food and a Starbucks. The only complaint was that I thought the couch was a lil smelly which made me double think the cleanliness of the pull out. I was a lil apprehensive about the pool being across the street but the pool was the best part! It was so much fun and had food and drink service. Was also laid back and clean. The beach was a short walk away as well and was nice and sandy! Would stay again!

The check in and check out process were very easy. The location and the small amount of steps was easy with luggage. Parking gets a little tight, but that is to be expected. The plantation area was quiet, which was appreciated. The walk to the beach was very simple. Hosts were very attentive with favorites. I would have liked a couple of baking pans in the kitchen and the coffee maker could use a little TLC. There was only one boogie board and one beach chair, that ended up having a loose screw on it. The cooler and wagon were appreciated for a road trip day of exploring.

Beautiful Property

The location was spectacular. If you don't expect much of the furnishings, you will be happy. Linens are low quality, toiletries were inadequate for a week's stay. No salt or cooking oil with the excuse that they are ruined by the humidity. I live in Hawaii, that is nonsense. The beach gear is a sandy, salt covered pile of random equipment. But the property is beautiful and it's close to swimming. shopping and hiking. Just have modest expectations for the actual unit. It could use some TLC.

Wonderful condo!

Great condo complex with lots of tropical gardens

It is very big complex but there are tropical gardens everywhere to make each building more private. This condo overlooks the Muir Gardens which gives a lot of space between other buildings and a great view of the gardens. You had privacy on the balcony as no building was facing you. The condo was clean and bed and linens comfortable. The kitchen was equipped with basic cookware and utensils. It was nice to use the louvers around the condo for fresh trade wind breezes.

Excellent property. Hosts were great. Be sure to use the Alexa speaker provided to play “Slack key guitar music” or Hawaiian traditional music” to get in the Aloha spirit. Very nice lei greeting at the airport. The athletic club pool and tennis/pickleball courts are nearby.

Wonderful property in a world class location on Kauai’s South Shore. Great beaches, restaurants, shopping and access to fun activities like snorkeling & SCUBA diving, The unit had everything we could want for and meals on the lanai were special.

Great Stay, Central to All Things to Do

Our family of four (two adults, a toddler and infant) stayed here for a week in June. The location is minutes drive to all activities, food/stores and beaches. Poipu Beach (great for kids & turtle sightings) is only a few minutes drive. Lawa’i Beach, great for snorkeling & in front of Beach House Restaurant, is only a 6 minute drive. You can even walk to Kiahuna Beach behind the property for great body boarding and surfing. You also have access to the Athletic Club across the street for gym and pools (regular pool and kids pool). We didn’t use it since we wanted to explore a new beach each day. East and west shore activities are close by too! We definitely appreciated easy parking in front, easy late check in directions from the host, towel cards provided by reception (exchange at the rental hut on Kiahuna Beach), light cleaning supplies, the pack n play crib, and all the beach gear (toys, body boards, umbrellas, chairs). I think we even saw a beach wagon but didn’t end up using it since we rented additional gear from Nana’s Baby & Beach Gear. Definitely appreciated the a/c even though the unit never got too hot with the nice breeze you get when screens are open. Our only hiccup was reception keyed our check out incorrectly so we were locked out for a bit but they fixed the issue quickly. Also, if you need a babysitter, Childcare Kauai is great and very familiar with this location! 10/10 stay, would book again.

Fantastic Condo for a Week's Stay

Had a great time at this property. Sandy and Erick (owners) are terrific communicators and quick to respond. Everything is as-advertised in the VRBO posting so I won't repeat it. Poipu Beach and some of the nearby beaches are great for snorkeling, swimming, surfing, and boogie boarding. The Poipu Beach Athletic Club has fantastic facilities and makes this location even more appealing if you want to go to a proper gym / play tennis / swim in a pool / etc. A few tips - condo has pretty much everything you need in terms of utensils and cookware, but there is nothing in terms of condiments / cooking oils, just some salt/pepper and one morning's worth of drip coffee. If you're hitting up Costco or a grocery store on your way in, pick up any oils / seasonings that you need to cook your food or else you'll find yourself driving back to Lihue (or the Big Save in Koloa). I am not a fan of drip coffee, so I brought a Moka Pot with me and picked up some good coffee at Kauai Coffee Company (about 10 mins away). Made breakfasts on the lanai that much better! Recommend walking around the paths near the condo when you arrive - there are a few different ways to get to the beach and there are new-ish gas bbq grills in both directions. Great property and fantastic hosts. 100% recommend!

Relaxing Paradise

The property is absolutely gorgeous and immaculate! It is close to the beach and at the same time, close to the Athletic Club. It's quiet, comfortable, clean. There are plenty of beach chairs and beach toys. The hosts are very good at taking care of their guests and are super responsive to any questions of any of your needs. I would definitely recommend this property and we will most definitely be back to stay there again. I can't say this enough -- very, very impressive.

Beautiful Location

We had a very relaxing and pleasant stay here. The unit is located within the beautiful Kiahuna Plantation and overlooks well-kept gardens. The unit isn't fancy but is very comfortable and has everything you might need for your stay, including a well-appointed kitchen, plenty of beach equipment, a/c in the bedroom, and a large lanai for enjoying the sunrises and sunsets. The location was quiet, and just a short stroll through the gardens to get to the largely uncrowded beach. Several restaurants/shops and the athletic club (with pool/gym access) are right across the street which was very convenient.

Wonderful

This area is beautiful with excellent beaches a short walk away and lush, lovely landscaping, including an orchid garden. The condo was clean, comfortable and perfect for our stay. We loved the sunsets over the ocean as we walked along the beaches as well as the sea turtles and seals lounging on the tidal area.and the many beach activities as well as jaunts up and down the coast. We would return in a flash. Mahalo!!

Great place! Details for interested parties:

We really enjoyed staying here. It was perfect for our family of three (we have a 12 yr old daughter). I feel like if we had one more kid in tow it would work, but would be tight. (Finding space for the luggage would be the challenge, though doable). The pull out bed was perfect for our daughter and she loved having all of that living room space and hearing all of the birds and ocean from afar every night. The bedroom’s bed is a king and comfy. The bedroom has a sliding door and plantation shutters that can be closed between the living room and bedroom for privacy. However, in order to cool down the place you need to have them open as well as the shutters at the front of the condo to get that perfect breeze. The a/c unit is situated in front of the shutters at the front, which cools things in the bedroom. The unit is easy to access, and you park right in front of the building. Watch out for the trees because they will drop a lot of stuff on your car if you park under them. There is a super handy foot wash faucet in the planter right in front of the building if you are sandy from beach time. All of the personnel we encountered at Kiahuna Plantation were incredibly nice. The grounds are beautiful to stroll, and we liked walking them to Kiahuna beach. There are tons of orchids, rocks, trees, plants, tiny lizards and geckos to see. After this beautiful stroll, you get to the Sheraton building which you can walking through or next to it to immediately access the beach.

Comfortable unit but could use some updating

Erick was a very responsive host who was easy to communicate with. The unit is in a good location with somewhat easy access to the beach (a short walk). It was wonderful to have beach chairs provided. I do think the unit could use some updating and attention to detail. It felt a little dark and dated, with small things like floorboards being cut too short and molding/baseboards a little dingy. The bathroom (tub/shower) also felt a little dingy and the screen door to the balcony does not open and close easily. Overall, the unit was comfortable but some sprucing up and more kitchen necessities would improve the overall guest experience.

We were a little disappointed that there were no basic seasonsonings available like salt and pepper. The only negative for us was the bed mattress was very uncomfortable. Seems like a nice foam topper might help that.

Great property

Great location to all the beaches in poipu. Owner was very responsive. This condo has everything you need to enjoy the beaches. Boogie boards beach chairs and an umbrella. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning to kiahuna plantation.

Awesome!!

Place was just as described. Perfect location for all the activities on the south side. You could walk anywhere if you wanted to. Access to the athletic club was awesome too! All the beach toys was nice for the family.
