Specially the service from two gentlemen at front desk, they were being helpful and tried to book cab for us (finding cab is headache in Kyoto!), Also they were able to speak English! The hotel is clean generally, you get a free little complimentary snack box daily if you chose no house keeping service during your stay. Very convenient location from hotel to Gion Shijo where u get all the shopping & food and also easy to walk to Kiyomizu-Dera temple (10 mins walk)! Lovely...

「It is an old-fashioned Japanese style hotel. The staff were very nice and the room was spacious for 4 tatami beds. The breakfast was Japanese style. It was delicious and unlike the buffet style, it was a set prepared for each of us. So it was hot and delicious. Each night when we returned to hotel, the staff had already prepared hot water for us so that we can have tea in our room. And there was a little hot spring and the basement of the hotel. We had a great time there.」
