"Some things were great, some things were a bit off. The property itself is very nice and the play area for kids on level -1 is really great. Our son enjoyed playing there for a few hours. The pool is also nice, but the hot tubs outside are quite small. The concierge was able to arrange babysitting, which was really nice, except they got the times wrong so I was really glad I double checked before the babysitter came. They also couldn't tell me the price correctly, which resulted in an awkward situation with the babysitter. My wife has a dairy allergy and it was great that the restaurant has a menu with allergy information. However there was only one item on the whole menu that my wife could have. "The check-in and staff were great. Super cheerful and nice. The room, bring ear plugs. I didn't realize the "mountain view" also means all the rooms face the street and its just noisy because its the main street into town. The windows/door sound like its cracked open because it was so loud to me. (and if your sensitive to light, bring an eyemask too, the triangle window at the top has no curtain) Breakfast was 13E per person and it quaint. Eggs and sausage made to order. (sausage means hot dogs by the way) The use of the sauna was an extra 14E per person. The free bus into town is right outside. The little lake is right next to the hotel (but its frozen right now) and its just about an 8 min walk to the bigger lake strba pleso! "

"We had a great stay at the Kempinski High Tatrus. This hotel had an established, genuinely 5 star feel. It knows what it is, and delivers brilliantly. The setting is outstanding, with a frozen lake and snow on the ground, but we didn’t see a cloud in 4 days. The service is great, and the breakfast generous. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable; there is a pillow and duvet menu… all in a great stay. "

"This was a really nice place with spectacular view from the balcony. The only 2 pain points were parking in the garage was very tight and no AC in room . We were there in end of August and the room was very hot … difficult go fall asleep. The option to open window was there but a lot of mosquitoes and bugs"
