We really enjoyed our stay at Irori Kyoto Station Higashi-Honganji. The room is larger than most hotel we stayed at. The staff are very friendly. Since this is more an apartment style hotel, there was no room cleaning service but it didn’t bother us at all about that. We would love to visit and stay again.

We utilized this hotel as our base in the Kansai area. It is sooo convenient to Kyoto station. Plus, it's a super short walk to Higashi Honganji, which is also worth a visit. The staff were friendly and the room (we had a Japanese style room for 5 people) worked great for us. If you are visiting Kyoto area, this is definitely a place I'd recommend. There are also several nice coffee shops within walking distance-- we enjoyed the coffee culture in Kyoto. Of course, most importantly is the proximity to everything in the area.

It’s about 10 minutes away from Kyoto Station so it’s quite convenient to walk around in the city and there’s a lot of convenient shop nearby! The staff are friendly and speak quite fluent English so communication may not be a problem here. All the instruction on the laundry and toilet usage have English translation which are very useful for tourist ! Definitely worth every penny !

Great place to stay in Kyoto

Staff is lovely, well equipped rooms with a kitchenette and a washing machine, like many Japanese hotels it’s tight quarters but has everything you need. About an 8 minute walk from Kyoto Station, 20 mins from Nishiki Market. A/C was great in the room.

Nice. Quiet. Clean. Small kitchen in room. Staff helped when asked. Convenience store, brewery, coffee shops, garden, temple, and small shops all within two minutes walk. Kyoto station and k line subway about 6 minutes walk. Access to Kyoto Station makes every town accessible for one day trips. Might do bunk bed room to free up floor space if I did it again, but would definitely use Irori Kyoto Station again.

God pris, hyggeligt og rummeligt værelse

Værelset var fuldt udstyret med et lille køkken, badeværelse, vaskemaskine, en lille hyggekrog med stole og bord. Køjesenge var rummeligt og så godt ud med valgte tapet. Men madrasserne var for tynde at sove i, hvis du er vant til en blød springmadras. Super god pris,gåafstand til Kyoto togstationen og lå i et område med andre traditionelle japanske ryokan hoteller.
