This place is everything and more, in a quite area with all the amenities plus more you wouldn’t even expect. Incredible well maintained and a friendly and helpful group of staff members. Will be recommending this place to friends who visit Kyoto in the future

This is an amazing stay for when youre in Kyoto! So handy to get around to most of the iconic places but the place itself was so good I didnt want to leave. The amenities, room, breakfast were all luxurious. Will be back and recommending to frieds and family!

Our stay was fantastic. The staff were extremely friendly. Upon check in they gave us a tour of the property and informed us on the history. They were extremely accommodating & the hotel itself was immaculate.

The location can't be beat! Walking distance to Kyoto Station and very close to the subway line, making getting around the city seamless while still sitting in a quiet neighborhood. A huge highlight for us was the main floor lounge. Having quality coffee, beer, and snacks readily available throughout the day was fantastic after long walks around town. The staff were super nice and genuinely helpful with anything we needed. One note on expectations: while the property holds a 5-star rating, I wouldn't go expecting a full-on, traditional ultra-luxury stay. Instead, it is a quaint, boutique hotel loaded with unique history and character. If you appreciate the heritage and a peaceful vibe, it’s a great base in Kyoto.

Wonderful stay at a historical landmark. Cool to see one of Nintendos original HQ locations. Breakfast every morning was delicious and the staff were very attentive. Nice amenity to take the bikes out as well in the morning. Would visit again!

This was an awesome boutique hotel. We were interested in its pedigree as former Nintendo headquarters. The rooms were clean and spacious. The staff was extremely attentive. They offer an authentic Japanese breakfast, which we tried, but we were also able to make do with their coffee and croissants. Everything was complementary.

We stayed for 7 nights and had a wonderful stay. The hotel itself is so beautiful and you are taken care of from the moment you arrive. Staff are always helpful and can accomodate your requests quickly. The location was fantastic with two good stations nearby, as well as plenty of locations within walking distance. The balcony view at sunrise was amazing, the room was very spacious, and all the furniture was high quality. Extremely comfortable bedding will help you rest after a busy day, and the housekeeping staff do a great job, as well as restocking your drinks fridge and snacks every day. Definitely recommend and can't wait to return!

Pros: the room is clean, comfortable and well designed and lit. Bike rentals. Includes mini bar and access to the lounge and bar with alcohol. The place is exclusive and very private. Cons: second time staying here and I have a feeling that Japanese and locals get a more inclusive tour during their stay. Perhaps a language barrier, but would be great to learn more about the history.

Loved this gorgeous boutique hotel. It felt elegant yet peaceful in its small size. Our entry level or basic level room was really very large and was extremely comfortable with a comfortable king size bed, a separate dressing area and large bathroom area. The breakfast was outstanding of which we in particular loved both the avocado toast as well as the bread with fruit ( a white bread smothered in fresh cream topped with fresh strawberries) it was delicious! A fun add on in the hotel is the open bar anytime including a full self service bar with premium liquors, beer, and wine. The staff were very helpful. We look forward to staying there again. This hotel exceeded our every expectation.
