La Bastide des Jourdans "Feels like home It was our second stay at the house. Just as last year everything was perfect and we enjoyed a lovely stay. This year we explored the area a bit more and were even more surprised by it’s nature and lovely villages, and we still have not seen it all!"

Feels like home

It was our second stay at the house. Just as last year everything was perfect and we enjoyed a lovely stay. This year we explored the area a bit more and were even more surprised by it’s nature and lovely villages, and we still have not seen it all!

A fabulous kitchen, well-equipped with modern appliances (huge refrigerator and freezer, large stove and ovens and microwave) loads of plates, dishes, silverware, glasses Could feed an army here! The pool is excellent (large, clean) with good space for loungers (and plenty of them). The village is an historical gem (off the beaten track, loads of medieval buildings all linked to history as a toll stop on route from Aix. Good wifi; weird TV boxes. Those are the PROS. Now the CONS. Significant mosquito problem (but the same for many south of France properties - stagnant water in a fountain should be drained). Website says that house is air-conditioned; reality is only in kitchen, sitting room and one dining room. Upstairs is more of a problem (only one of three bedrooms air-conditioned. Screens in many (but not all rooms). All photos online are accurate (but look carefully at bathrooms, they remain ready for older inhabitants with stool in the main shower). House is much darker than photos suggest - shouldn't be a problem in the summer, as you should be outside. Biggest problem we had was that one toilet never worked (and agent knew about this, but did not tell us till too late - it you get what I mean). Also, the cooking gas ran out first night after 20 mins in middle of making dinner (owner replaced it). Great house, shame about local agent's attention to detail and keeping the house ready (and the mosquitos).

Great stay, great house in Bastide des Jourdans

The listing accurately reflected the house - airy, well-situated, nice town, great rooms, close amenities, very responsive and friendly owner and manager, great pool - we have the most lovely time, wonderful meals outside, room to spread out, and would book again! A steal for the price!! Merci à Francine pour tout!

Es ist alles vorhanden, was man benötigt.Ein Auto ist sehr zu empfehlen, um die Sehenswürdigkeiten zu besuchen.Patricia ist eine wunderbare Gastgeberin und wir kommen wieder

Très belle bastide spacieuse et confortable

Des vacances qui compteront dans notre palmarès ! Nos grands enfants autonomes depuis plusieurs années et que nous ne voyons pas très souvent au moins pour celui qui vit aux US nous ont fait le bonheur de partager notre quinzaine à la bastide Tous les participants ont apprécié le lieu, l’accueil très sympathique de la propriétaire Même notre chat qui est craintif s’est vite senti à l’aise dans cette belle propriété Un grand merci pour ce séjour superbe

Beaucoup de place dans cette grande maison provençale, faite pour vivre au soleil (aménagement repas extérieurs, BBQ, plancha) avec piscine (si chaleur et soleil, c'est parfait), et accueil très sympa par la conciergerie. Boulangerie au village proche. Avec une voiture, indispensable pour découvrir la région, village perché de Grambois à 5km, sinon Lourmarin, puis tous les autres villages perchés du Luberon; le Colorado provençal, Fontaine de Vaucluse, Aix en Provence, une visite de cave ... Et si vous aimez le vélo, il y a de quoi faire !."

La Bastide des Jourdans "Nous avons été accueilli dans cette maison par Francine qui en gère la location. Elle a été très sympathique et réactive tout au long du séjour lorsque nous avons eu besoin d’elle pour diverses questions. La maison est exceptionnelle, magnifique, parfaitement équipée comme nous avons rarement vu. Un confort total! Pour ceux qui aiment cuisiner, équipements rêvés! Petit jardin très agréable et grande piscine. De plus, nous avons eu la chance de faire connaissance avec la propriétaire des lieux, présente lors de notre séjour, d’une très grande gentillesse, drôle et pétillante."

La Bastide des Jourdans "A lovely spacious house which was ideal for our extended month stay, and my husband's remote working. Great Broadband. The outside areas were lovely and we enjoyed the private pool. It was also a great location for us as on the edge of a delightful village which allowed us to walk in every morning to buy croissants and bread, as well as visit the small general store. The local restaurant Cheval Blanc should not be missed! Francine and Laura, the house Managers, were extremely helpful and responsive to our requests and provided us with recommendations of where to visit and eat etc"
