Es war die beste Hotelerfahrung die wir jemals hatten. Zimmer und Hotel sind in einem top Zustand. Aber das ware Highlight sind die jungs vom front desk. Sie haben immer ein Lachen auf den Lippen, grüsen einen jedes mal freudestrahlend. Sie organisieren alles für einen und stehen mit rat und tat zur seite. Wenn sie die Möglichkeit haben hier zu schlafen tuen sie dies. Sie werden es nicht bereuen

Great location. Breakfast at Arenal Oasis whilst birdwatching was a treat.
Bathroom doesn’t have an extractor so it got very humid. In room safe didn’t work.
Private sitting area with the plunge pool was lovely for cooling down.

Le superbe accueil de la personne a la reception nous a toyt de suite charmé.
Par la suite, notre chambre avec la superbe vu sur le Volcan etait tout simplement magnifique. Bon petit dejeuner egalement.

Our stay at Fortuna Retreat was absolutely AMAZING!
It truly was "Retreat-style" as it was peaceful, rejuvenating, and wonderfully private.The property is beautifully designed, with natural plants throughout the landscape creating calm, relaxing atmosphere.
Our room was spotless, had comfortable bed and a gorgeous view.
The staff is wonderful! They coordinated all of our tours, and each one was executed perfectly. Breakfast was delicious and the outside dining area was full of wildlife.
One of my favorite stays ever—highly recommended!

We booked this place last minute after our previous ABNB couldn’t be extended and we are so glad we found Fortuna Retreat.
It was such a unique, new, cool spot that felt like a private luxury villa in a secluded jungle setting with an AMAZING view of Arenal volcano from your bed. We loved our room - very clean, spacious & well decorated with a huge balcony to enjoy nature and take in the surroundings.
We have to give a huge shoutout to Joel at the front desk - he was very helpful with all of our questions about the local suggestions as well as helping plan the rest of our trip at the beach. He also helped us book an amazing “all in one” tour on our last day in La Fortuna that covered everything we wanted to do in 8 hours.
Last but not least, make sure to walk down the road to Soda Tita Rosa, you won’t regret it. Easily the best meal we had in La Fortuna, at a great price, in a quiet setting off the beaten path with excellent service. We would have eaten here every meal had we found it earlier!

Room very clean and as per pictures. Staff very helpful and communal kitchen area had great views and facilities. Breakfast at the nearby restaurant was fantastic. Beautiful, surrounded by nature. Recommend the breakfast restaurant for dinner (try the patecones). We didn’t have a car but able to get Ubers easily. Highly recommend

Der ideale Platz, um La Fortuna und Umgebung zu erkunden. Mit dem Auto nur wenige Minuten vom Zentrum und den Attraktionen entfernt, aber ruhig genug gelegen, fern des touristischen Trubels.
Super liebe Menschen für super netten Service. Sehr, sehr sauber. Die Anlage ist erst ca. 1 Jahr alt. Hochwertige Materialien, gut durchdachtes Konzept (bin selber Hotelier)und ein wundervoller Garten. Wir hatten eine Premium Villa mit Dschungel-Dusche und Plungepool... und - falls grad keine Wolken - Vulkanblick.
Das Frühstück gibt's im Dschungel des Nachbarn, wenige Minuten zu Fuß. Üppig, lecker, serviert...und dazu Vogelbeobachtungen vor dem Tisch.

My all time favorite hotel in the world now! Property and room were extremely clean and the views from every point on the property are amazing. The front desk and other attendants were attentive and always available through WhatsApp.
Breakfast is $9/day and limited to 3 options + fruit so I would suggest going outwards for food and there is none at the property. Ubers to town are around $3-4USD but there is a little store within walking distance for snacks and water (as the property sells neither).
