“Secrets La Romana was a perfect vacation for us. The staff was engaging and delightful. They took care of our every request. But truly we rarely had a request because everything was taken care of without even asking. We truly enjoyed the 24 hour ability to order late night snacks. After a busy day we would go to an early dinner, take a "nap" and then wake up at Midnight hungry. The service was outstanding and always done with a smile. The pool service was extraordinary. “The area looked beautiful in photos but it really was not feeling safe. We had an overnight before cruise and mainly just stayed in the room. The beach was lovely but we didn’t feel comfortable eating anywhere near this small hotel no elevator so be prepared to carry your luggage up stairs to higher floors. No where close to get a coffee in the morning.”

“No one on staff spoke English. The hotel is very dated and unkempt. There were several power outages in the 16 hours we were there.”

“Check in was difficult. Staff was not over friendly. We only needed a bed to sleep in and a shower before heading to the airport in the morning. There was no water to brush our teeth, flush the toilet or shower. It was a safe place to stay for the night though - wouldn’t stay again but it was good enough :)”
