"Lovely hotel with an amazing view"

"To Management, I would like to highlight two operational issues that require prompt attention: Bathroom Facilities: The current taps do not provide hot and cold mixing functionality. An upgrade is necessary to ensure proper hygiene standards and guest comfort, and this should be prioritised as soon as possible. Catering/Menu Variety: The menu has remained unchanged for an extended period. Introducing additional dishes and rotating options would significantly improve the dining experience and overall satisfaction. Addressing these items will enhance both service quality and customer perception."

"Stains on bedding, curtains, rugs, grout. We must say: Staff member Alan was EXTREMELY GOOD. He helped us in many ways. Thank you Alan. Other staff was not very helpful. Just the bare minimum effort. We were in a very bad room ( very bad!) our first and only after complained were we assured that we would get a better room that matched what thought we purchased. The better room had a non-working TV and poor shower pressure. The shower soap and shampoo was almost empty and the pump on the container was broken. We were too tired to keep asking for our expectations to be met. Maybe we just should have paid more for a good room? Breakfast was not included in either of our TWO separate stays. We really gave the hotel the benefit of the doubt. We hoped for a view, or a fan etc. we did finally ask for a fan and the front desk got it for us. During our first stay of 6 nights, housekeeping forgot to clean it. We complained about this and got a free beverage which was a nice gesture. The location is nice. Staff could be reached by phone with questions which we liked."

"Stayed in the glorious junior suite overlooking Royal Dornoch's new clubhouse. Super breakfast and my hotel partner said it was the best filtered coffee he has had in a while. Highly recommend with convenience of the golf course. "

"Room clean, pretty basic, bathroom very poorly designed with nowhere to store washbag. No extractor fan so completely steamed up after showering. Entry door to room had faulty lock which could easily have left you locked out of room. Can't belive management hadn't noticed it. Dangerous rug right in front of open fire in the bar lounge with curled up edges, real trip hazard. Food pretty good. Hotel itself is totally isolated, although we did know that before booking. "

"Check in was quick and easy, every staff member I spoke with was helpful and friendly, food was excellent and very reasonably priced, room was clean and tidy, only small downside is room was rather small as was the TV, but did nt take anything away from a pleasant stay "

"We had a double suite which was superb. The only improvement I could suggest would be a tv in the room. Else it was 10/10. Plus if you get the opportunity visit & eat in the walled garden."

"A quiet place but a great place to wind down when not frantically touring elsewhere. Staff were great. Food was great."
