"I’m a little spoiled when it comes to hotels—I typically stay in 3-star-and-above properties that cost $200+ per night. But the reviews were so impressive that I decided to give it a try, and it absolutely lived up to the hype.
The rooms were spotless, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and the location right on the river was beautiful. One of my favorite parts of the stay was relaxing by the pre-lit fire pits, listening to the river flow by under the stars.
A wonderful experience, and I’d happily stay here again."
"This is a sweet spot - super convenient with the keypad locking system. The communications and customer service could be improved, as we were not provided with clear instructions on how to access/get into the property, as we'd arrived past the check-in hours, and used the lockbox to get our instructions. The units are pretty spread out, so that entails a bit of walking about and multiple elevators/stairs to get to the unit, but all in all, it was alright and we'd probably come back."
"This Hotel is such a fun place to stay and get reconnected to nature and family. Fun hiking trails and very comfortable cabins to stay in. Food is delicious, the Stew & Chicken pot pie our my favorite so far. The staff is always welcoming and informative."

Leland Lodge~ Winter Snow Park-Summer Private Lake
6/10 Okay
"For the price, it was okay. Here are things that we liked: not far from Pinecrest, 10 minute drive. The private lake and play area. Walking paths in front and all around the location. Tons of streaming services on their tv. Friendly neighbors! Small amount of people walking around. Very dark at night. We feel though that maybe it should have been spelled out that the photo of the outside is actually a photo of the entire quadriplex and that it is 1 unit of a shared quadriplex where you share the front deck, its awkward if you weren't expecting that. Also, the parking is just street parking above the location. Its between the street and dirt trench area so if you aren't a good driver or scared of that sort of thing stay away. Also, its honestly not toddler friendly. We had a toddler and were scared from the outside stairs and the railing on the top floor had a big enough gap for her to fit through, but of course stay on top of them. Outside area was dirty/dusty so we couldn't enjoy it. The shared community center area was dirty so we just used it that way and let ourselves get dirty. The zero reception made everything hard. I guess it depends on your service provider? but their wifi was great! We are not use to renting places out there, this is only our 2nd time, so maybe these are all typical and expected things."
"Great choice for us. Good location near Markleeville and surrounding area. Easy to find. Friendly proprietor. The room was comfortable. A couple of small things to mention:
(1) The lamp between the beds would not turn on or off. One had to unplug it.
(2) One of plugs in the outlet on the inside of the wall facing parking lot was dead.
If we are luckly enough to reutrn to Markeeville, I will certainly prioritize staying there."
