Once you adjust expectations, it is a decent place. We arrived at night to a barely lit property and foyer furnished w/60's/70's furniture. Those made me nervous, but once inside the room, it was comfortable and clean, and the front desk staff was very nice.

couldn’t ask for more for the price, it’s very clean and tidy. its about an 11 minute walk to downtown which was great. the front desk workers are always so friendly and informative. we stay here everytime we come to lake geneva and will continue to come :) love this place

Cozy, affordable hotel in Lake Geneva

Cozy, clean place polite stuff , very helpful. Nothing bothers one here, it’s the perfect place for a vacation. Acceptable price too. I recommend any one coming to Lake Geneva on a budget but also in need of healing, mental health or just to escape the routine , stress of the big city . Ideas for improvement Maybe inside the closet (under TV) a good wash insisting on the corners then a moisturizer wood cleaner /oil (Mr. Clean Lemon Liquid or Pine Sol) smell good too.. It gives one confidence it’s clean when putting clothing articles . Other than that LOVED this hotel. It’s the perfect representation of the Midwest Nice.

They are doing a fantastic job for being family owned! Doing their very best getting book with the festivals coming up and everything! The rooms were all clean, the staff and managed was nice and helpful. Whenever I come back down, I’ll definitely be staying here again. It’s in a very convenient spot, not too far at all from Walmart if you need things, restaurants, their museum in town and the public beach!

This property is part hotel part long stay housing. The man working at night was friendly and told me I was getting such a great room. It seemed okay at night; at least the sheets seemed clean. Mattress was warm in several spots, the room was so dusty, dirty toilet, hair clippings in sink, walls have food specs on them. There was a bottle cap on floor (not mine), clothing tags on floor. Crumbs in drawers, the kitchenette sink had crusted on food

While this is an older hotel, we have got a very nice, clean room, with a great view of a green and calming backyard from the balcony where there were 2 chairs. The room had a laminate floors, TV, small fridge, microwave, a table with 2 chairs and a nightstand next to bed. The beds were in a very good condition and clean. Staff was very nice and accommodating to anything we asked. We were very satisfied with our stay in this hotel that is located also very close to the center of Lake Geneva city. There was plenty of free parking outside of hotel.

John and His Staff and The Facilities are TOP NOTCH It is the ONLY place I will stay in Lake Geneva. we operate Cigar Oasis at Alpine Valley Music Theatre and Country Thunder Festivals for the last 20 years, and Without John and The Chateau Royale staff and facilities making us feel like we are at home...we would be sailors lost at Sea !
