Lake George Getaway: Cozy cottage w/ kayaks, cornhole, Xbox, volleyball

Welcome to our cozy cottage—perfect for a relaxing couples’ retreat or a family-friendly getaway just a 2-minute walk from all-sports Lake George! Enjoy kayaking, paddleboarding, or unwinding on the small beach at the lake access point. Back at the cottage, our backyard oasis features a firepit, grill, volleyball, & cornhole for outdoor fun. If it rains, have fun indoors with Xbox, card games, & smart TVs. The fully stocked kitchen makes meal prep easy, & 4 cozy beds ensure a restful sleep!

Layout:

The kitchen is open to the living room making it a perfect space to interact with family while cooking up delicious meals. Upstairs you have a loft for the kiddos with a futon and bunk directly off the master bedroom with a cozy Queen bedroom.

Outside we have a huge deck and yard with a gated dog run perfect for your furry friend.

Lake Access:

Within a 2 minute walk is our shared lake access point with a small sandy beach and picnic table. You can dolly the kayaks to the lake access point to enjoy water activities on Lake George! The boat launch is only a few minutes drive around the lake. Please note: there is no overnight docking. Please see the welcome book upon arrival for more info



Guests will have access to the entire cottage, yard & lake access point.



Fall & Winter Activities in Harrison:

Experience the beauty and excitement of Harrison during the colder months with a variety of outdoor activities:
--Skiing, Snowboarding & Snow Tubing: Head to Snow Snake Ski & Golf for 12 trails, tubing runs, lessons, and more.
--Ice Fishing: Try your luck on local lakes like Budd Lake and Lake George, popular spots for winter fishing.
--Hunting: Take part in local hunting opportunities during Michigan DNR’s winter seasons, including the nearby Duggan’s Family Campground, a great base for outdoor adventures.
--Frostbite Winter Festival: Join the fun in February with the Frostbite Open, where golf is played on frozen Budd Lake using tennis balls.
--Snowmobiling & ORV Adventures: Explore the maintained trails across Clare County for snowmobile and off-road vehicle fun.

Please note, our cottage is on the smaller side. The “second” bedroom is a loft attached to the bedroom. The loft/second bedroom is open to the stairs, so there is no door for privacy.

We have 5 electric wall heaters that will heat the entire cottage. For cooling, there is a window unit on both levels. These will cool the entire cottage well when ran at the same time.
