Make your home away from home right on the shores of Lake Lure at this beautiful family retreat! Along with breathtaking views of Rumbling Bald Mountain and Shumont Mountain, you'll enjoy direct water access by way of the refurbished boat dock and submersing steps. Kayaks (one tandem, two singles) and a stand-up paddleboard are provided, along with youth and adult-size life jackets and floats.
Excellent outdoor amenities include a bean bag toss lawn game, a gas grill, and a covered deck area furnished for alfresco dining or leisure. A variety of classic card and board games are also provided for added family fun.
Gather together in the living area and watch TV on comfortable furnishings, including two twin sofa beds, perfect for extended family stays. The kitchen is well-appointed for home cooking, with features including a range, a microwave, a dishwasher, a Keurig coffee maker (k-cups and carafe), a toaster, and a crockpot as well as a complete set of cookware and dishes.
Two excellent public golf courses and some fantastic local dining options are located within a mile of the home. Movie buffs will enjoy visiting iconic film sites like the Historic Lake Lure Inn (Dirty Dancing) and Chimney Rock State Park (Last of the Mohicans).

Check-out time: 10:00 AM
There is a seven-night minimum stay for the months of May-October as well as a Saturday arrival and departure restriction.
All guests shall abide by Vacasa's good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM
No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.
For bookings Nov. 1, 2023 - April 10, 2024 the lake will be at a lower level to allow for the completion of infrastructure projects. While the lake will begin rising on March 31st, 2024, the rate of refilling the lake is based on the weather and the amount of rainfall received.
THINGS TO KNOW
-This property is managed by Vacasa North Carolina LLC.
-Lake Lure is a man made lake that is drawn down 12 feet each winter season for maintenance. This will impact shorelines. Water will be back up to normal levels in mid April.
-Please be sure to reach out directly to organizations/businesses for current hours of operation.
Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.
Dock details:
Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.
