We had a lovely time at Esther Mountain Chalet, which is everything it promises! Such a fabulous home base to explore the High Peaks region, then home each evening for sunset fires, taking in the mountain views and relaxing in the hot tub under the stars. The beds are comfortable, the living room is a super comfortable lounging area with a gas fireplace, and the host is great about communication and recommendations. Hard to ask for anything more! We stayed for 3 nights during our honeymoon and it was absolute magic.

Loved this property, privacy and views! Owners made me feel at home and welcomed from start to finish. Will be returning to relax in the hot tub with perfect view of Whiteface Mountain.

Great Location!

You can’t beat the views and location! Very close to the ski entrance to Whiteface mountain, High Falls Gorge and 15 minutes to the village of Lake Placid. The Wild at Tupper Lake was an hour away. Great spot for the kids. The chalet is so peaceful. We loved looking at the stars from the hot tub or fire pit. Gas fireplace was a nice cozy touch. Smart TV’s in all bedrooms. No cable. Internet worked great. Sand was provided for the walkway which we definitely needed with the ice! Judi checked in with us via phone once we arrived to make sure everything was good. She also called after checkout just to say thank you. Love the personal touch! Great place and business to book an Adirondack getaway! Tough to beat. Thank you Judi!

Beautiful views!!

The place had everything we needed for a family weekend get together. It was too cold for the hot tub and sauna but the views were absolutely beautiful! Watching the sun come up on Whiteface and the moon setting were so awesome!. Great to be away from thw busy village too. Loved it!

A comfortable stay with a view of whiteface

We had a fantastic stay at Judi and Aseem’s place in Wilmington! The listing description was spot on, and the experience exceeded expectations. The hot tub and wood-fired sauna were perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring, and the entire place was impeccably clean and well-maintained. The hosts were incredibly responsive and made sure everything was just right for our stay. The location is excellent—only 5 minutes from Wilmington and a short 15-minute drive to Lake Placid. Whether you’re looking to explore the area or simply relax, this place is perfect. I highly recommend staying here and would definitely return in the future!

Adirondack Stay 7/27/2024 - 8/2/2024

We had a great week in Wilmington. The property was beautiful, 100% as advertised. Clean and plenty big enough for our family - 5 adults and 3 dogs. Great yard and hot tub with an amazing view of Whiteface Mt. Very convenient location to may great hikes and only 15 minutes from Lake Placid.

Beautiful view, quiet, and relaxing stay

We loved our stay at Esther chalet. The view of whiteface cannot be beat. The yard was huge, great for playing with our dogs. We used the hottub, picnic table, and deck everyday, and even got to see the aurora borealis in the yard. We didn't get the chance to have a fire or use the sauna but I'm sure that would have been lovely. The house was very clean, and spacious. We did struggle to get a good night's rest due to the soft/sinky beds in the 2 king size rooms. We feel the addition of a pair of binoculars to the home would be a nice to view the local wildlife. Judi called around check in and a few hours after check out which was an appreciated personal touch.

Amazing location and property

We had such an incredible weekend up at this cabin for the full solar eclipse!🌒 Wow. The views out the back of the house are breathtaking and we really enjoyed sitting in the chairs by the fire pit and soaking in the hot tub. Judi was super easy to communicate with and the house was very clean. We'd definitely come back anytime, and hope to soon! Thank you for the lovely and relaxing visit!

Perfect Whiteface Ski Trip House

This property is ideal for a ski trip! Situated on beautiful land with a stunning view of Whiteface. Only minutes to the mountain and not far to Lake Placid town center either. Rustic feel but has everything you need. My group of 5 adults worked out very well space-wise. Hot tub was awesome to come home to after a day on the slopes. Loved the privacy — really felt like we stayed in the Adirondacks. Will definitely keep this property in mind for future trips!

Love this place!

My second stay at Esther Mountain Chalet was as lovely as my first. Secluded but not too remote, modern with a cabin vibe, clean and well kept, ownership is friendly and communicative but leaves you to do your thing, and that view of Whiteface! I’d be excited to return for a third trip.

Views that never get old

This is a terrific spot. If you’re looking to get away but not to far from activities then this is the place. It felt secluded so we had the privacy we wanted but in reality its only 15 minutes from town. The house is beautiful. It has an open floor plan and exposed beams in the ceiling. Every morning I’d sit in the hot tube and just stare at the whiteface mnts. Then I’d watch the sun set behind them each evening. It was so relaxing just to be there. The house to put it plainly is comfortable. We were lucky with the weather and had a great breeze coming through the screen doors so the house stayed pretty cool so there was no need for the ac. This is ridiculous but my favorite place to sit was the ginormous bean chair. So comfy. We barely left the house because it truly had everything we needed. The property is well kept and very open. Between the hot tube and the sauna and the views of the mountain we were in heaven. We’ll definitely be back.

Great view! Great house!

My family of four stayed at the Esther Mountain Chalet in early April. The check in process was easy and the house was great. It was a perfect size for our family. The house was on a very private lot, even though there was another rental next door, we couldn't see or hear them at all. The best part was the view from the deck. It was stunning. We loved it so much we spent more time at the house enjoying the nice weather and the view than we expected. The house was just a few minutes from Whiteface and 20 minutes from Lake Placid. We did drive 30 minutes to Saranac one of the rainy days. There wasn't much to do there during mud season (a lot of places close in April - we didn't know that until well after we booked the vacation) but the hikes, the house, and the shopping was a great reset and refresh for our family. It was just what we needed. If we visit the area again we will definitely stay here!

Comfortable with amazing view

We very much enjoyed our stay. The home was very comfortable and clean. Not sure which was better - sitting in the living room in front of the fireplace or sitting in the hot tub - looking out at a snow covered Whiteface. The yard was fun for playing in the snow. Great location- easy drive to all of the area’s activities.

Fun visit to play in the snow.

We came from the south to play in the snow with our young kids. The property was incredibly clean and communication with the owners was excellent. We had the most minor of issues with lamps and the caretaker came to fix it the next morning. I was very impressed. The hot tub is great. It is an easy twenty minute drive into Lake Placid and the roads are very well maintained(especially against our southern standards.) We would definitely stay again!
