“This charming B&B in Grand Haven was clean and spacious in a lovely residential area surrounded by other old homes of the period. The renovations and updates done to it were incredible and belong in a magazine. It was nice to sit on the front porch and read early in the morning or chat with other guests. The staff was friendly, courteous and helpful, and recommended some things that we enjoyed. Our breakfast included an amazing homemade tomato-basil quiche and fresh fruit. I would definitely……

“Holiday Inn Muskegan was just fine. It is not luxury but we didn't pay luxury prices. It feels a tad run down but was not bad. The breakfast was very good.”

“How to start, I have stayed here in the past and it was great which is why I chose to return. Things have changed dramatically, let’s just start with I have to request to have my room cleaned, clean towels, linens and toilet paper. After 3 days I learned that and supposedly got the room cleaned except for the over flowing trash being emptied. No one was at the front desk during the breakfast hours and if they were they looked like clients in very non-employee like attire. Sitting on the couch in……

“This place was disgusting! I should have known something was amiss when the total price was $180 for two nights. The lobby smelled horrible, the room was bleh, the shower had flaking paint, stains everywhere, the towels were stained! You can honestly spare a couple extra dollars and literally go ANYWHERE ELSE and get a better night stay. Oh and there is no security, I hear someone screaming for help so god knows what was happening with that. Oh, and if you like the sound of smoke detectors……

“We had to leave and stay at a different hotel due to the unsanitary conditions at Whitehall Cottages. The bed had dirt and hair on the sheets and all around the mattress. There’s no staff on the property and the owner didn’t respond back until later in the evening after we were already checked in to a different hotel. When I asked for a refund I was told he couldn’t do it because we booked through Expedia…”
