「I reserved and paid back in October. When we arrived on Jan 11 -- we were told that our reservation was cancelled. In fact they were hosting a wedding - and cancelled our reservation without any warning. They proposed a disgusting replacement hotel (one-star backpacker hotel) which was 30€ per night rather than the 90€ per night we paid. We wasted 2 hours of limited time in beautiful Lamu. They refused to reimburse us and refused to send an email confirming that they cancelled a paid reservation...

「The owner of the Hotel pretended not to have any business relations with this site. Even though i have paid the full amount, they charged me more and i had to pay them directly, in order to have my room. Confrontation and a stressful experience, with not much support from the management staff. Hotel is not very clean, but a basic breakfast was served.」

「The location is great. But the property owner wasn't honoring expedia booking . Since it was late (5:30pm) , he allowed me to stay one night but next day I had to check out. Overpriced for the quality or upkeep of the lace. It is great for people looking for unconventional family owned traditional set up but a non for business travellers. Only one electrical point for charging in one room was another turndown 」

「Every bedroom, gathering space, and lounging area throughout the house (inside and out) is comfortably appointed and thoughtfully designed. The staff of the house are warm, inviting, and exceptionally professional. We loved the location along the water - close access for beach walks and shopping, yet plenty of quiet and privacy while still steps away from activity. Forodhani House is a very special place and our group was honored by our experience!」
