“Margo's home was delightful! Really wish we'd had more time to spend there. Beautiful, comfortable, well-appointed and welcoming! One of our top private rental stays ever. We felt very at home and well cared for by the host, who communicated SO very well from the initial booking. We felt comfortable with no anxiety about getting there or getting in or whatever. It is a bit out from downtown EDB but public bus stops were close by. Well worth the extra travel time in and out of the tourist area.……

“From start to finish our stay at Lime Cottage was excellent. The accommodation was clean and cosy and, particularly important to us, the kitchen was well equipped for the cooking we planned to do during our stay. Our terrier, Gilbert, especially loved his early morning walks on the estate. Arniston is very close to a railway station, so access to Edinburgh was simple. During our visit we explored the Fife coastline, North Berwick beaches, Edinburgh and Rosslyn Chapel. Communication preceding and……

“The cottage was very central to lots of places which was very good as you could go every day to somewhere different and come back at night”

“Very unclean and uncared for. Had to have fresh towels and toilet paper given by site manager. Had to clean microwave before use. Hairs in bed. B5 o mattress protectors. Shower smelled badly. Broken blinds in some rooms. Stale smell from soft furnishings. Some main lights did not work or lamps missing bulbs. Many other issues. Report sent to Sykes Cottages and awaiting response. Only stayed because a family emergency and venue nearby or would have left.”

“Nice apartment in a lovely village. The guest book was a nice touch and we gleaned a good tip from previous guests' comments: free parking at Rosyth train station for an easy day-out in Edinburgh.”

“Beautiful clean home. Centrally located. Had all the amenities we needed to enjoy our stay. Couches could use replacing, some drinking glasses had chips in the lips, so check before drinking from them. Overall great place to stay. If we ever make it back to Edinburgh, would definitely stay again.”
