Bicester Langford Orchard Hotels

"Starting with the good points: staff are brilliant and very helpful; excellent breakfast with wide range on offer from full English Breakfast to variety of milks/fruit/cereals (but no porridge or Coco Pops jus rice crispies/corn flakes etc). Our room was clean with towelling robes and slippers but the bathroom floor tiles needed some more grout. Our room faced south and it was a glorious afternoon during our stay and the gardens are superb. Downstairs in the pool/spa area there was a steam room, excellent sauna and pool with 2 bubbling tubs. There were 4 tiled relaxation beds but they were not warm so no one used them. The pool itself was warm so no worries there with kids. We tried the bar food on our first night and it was ok, saving us the problem of going out to find somewhere. Bad point was the patchy internet. I used hotel and 5G mobile data and it was extremely hard to get a signal even outside. The TV kept cutting out (internet issues??) and there was no Sky Sports or Sky anything. "

"Free parking OK Paid for large breakfast but suspect that I only received a standard one. Mentioned this to the member of staff and was told that it was a new chef on. No other apology. A due to a long wait, a customer who ordered two poached eggs on toast got up and left without receiving his order. Restaurant not busy. Hotel was in centre of town so easy to meet up with friends for dinner in town. No cereal with breakfast. Somme staff did not appear to know what they were doing."

"I wouldn’t really say I’m a fussy person, I can put up with a lot and I’m quite resilient but my ‘stay’ at The Jersey Arms hotel was a very good way to force some impromptu character development and really make me contemplate a lot of my life choices. Being honest the receptionist was a sweetheart and did the best that they could, but the hotel was a different story entirely. From the moment I walked into my room the very strong potent smell of damp and mould hit me like a wall, before realising that there was thick, fuzzy mould growing in the bottom of the wardrobe, this was also accompanied by paint falling off the walls and dirty sheets. I can confidently say a hotel has never made me cry before but this one most certainly did. The receptionist was kind enough to move my room, which was of equal poor form as the first one. The same horrible damp/mould smell, dirty sheets and plaster and all sorts hanging off the wall. Whilst I was issued a full refund by the hotel an Expedia very promptly as I type this review I just want to preface, this review is in by no way a petty complaint. I would just like to warn others to think twice about booking this hotel, as the cheap price point does in no way justify the condition nor experience of this hotel. "

"Very comfortable and modern apartment. For 2 people it was great and a good base. There's no parking on site and so you have to pay in advance at the Sainsbury's behind but it's not even a 5 minute walk. Apartment was clean and beds made for a great night's sleep."

"This place was amazing. It has been lovingly converted into accommodation with so much attention to detail that you don’t want to leave. The additional Christmas decorations were super cute and appreciated as well as the full service kitchen (with coffee and milk), games and fabulous top floor 360°window to watch the sunrise/sunset, wildlife etc. Highly recommend a stay here. "
