Staff very keen to make stay pleasant, brilliant breakfast, very good size room, well equipped, excellent bathroom, with a very good shower, fresh and clean.
Super friendly welcome and room was fine for us - we stayed after a wedding so werent even there that long!
room was clean and shower was hot, breakfast was lovely and served by a super helpful and friendly housekeeper.
We had a wonderful welcome from Angie - she really made the stay! Breakfast was amazing and just the most delicious one I've had in a very long time. The rooms are beautifully done and everything was spotless. It was such a relaxing place. We'd be definitely wanting to go again as it was so good. Can't recommend the Drayton Crown and Angie enough!

Although the property was not fully open it didn’t deter from a very pleasant stay. It was unfortunate that the pub attached was not open but Angie was very helpful and booked a table at a nearby restaurant for an evening meal. The breakfast cooked by Angie the following day was lovely. All should be fully functioning by early July, we will try to get back for another visit
A lovely three night stay. Room was very comfortable immaculately clean and fresh. We were made to feel very welcome by Angie who worked tirelessly to look after us. Nothing was too much trouble and the breakfast was very good. Highly recommended - we will be back.
Stayed for two nights whilst visiting friends. Bedroom was clean, spacious and comfortable. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Enjoyed a full English breakfast on both mornings.
The stay was ok, the room was very hot although a fan was put in the room the duvet was of to high a valve, the pillows really do need to be of a better quality, they were very lumpy. We had a couple of minor issues that we spoke to the house keeper about.
Very nice very clean modern room BUT we don't know why anyone would spend serious money renovating an old pub to end up with paper thin connecting walls - we were 'enertained' by our couple in room two having loud sex and loud talking until about 1am
Unfortunately will not be returning.
Disappointing, no food service the evening i stayed which is really inconvenient as its in the middle of nowhere. Pub itself was shut at 7.30pm so couldn't get a drink after travelling for food
We were very impressed with the condition, comfort and cleanliness of the hotel, breakfast was very good although very basic with choices and a menu would have been appreciated. The Owner was very friendly as was the house keeper who was very proud of her position and looked after the accommodation, the towels were especially soft.
The room was comfortable with everything you needed. Fresh milk available for tea/coffee in a fridge along the hall. Owner had just taken over property and was very helpful and accommodating.
Slightly disappointed with breakfast. It was well cooked and presented but no real vegetarian option, despite giving advance notice ( had the same as my husband, just without bacon and sausage). No mushroom available on second day, so for me it was just eggs, beans and tomato. I’m guessing it was due to newness in ownership. Lovely location and outside space. Good parking.
We stayed for one night on our way to Combe Martin, it was just what we wanted a quiet family room in a lovely location with breakfast and the option to dine on site when we arrived. We would be happy to stay again to break up a journey.
We had a lovely warm welcome on arrival by the hostess, Donna. The family room was beautiful and provided us and our two young children with plenty of space. The beds were really comfortable and the shower was lovely and powerful. The room also had tea making facilities plus plenty of drawers, cupboards and wardrobe space to store your things away in.
The pub is situated in a lovely quiet village and even though the rooms are situated above the restaurant, there were no loud noises coming from downstairs during both evenings which was a huge plus for us.
The cooked breakfast was was spot on plus they had a variety of cereals and yoghurts you could help yourself to. We had dinner in the restaurant on one of the evenings and it was a thumbs up all round for our family- it tasted amazing. The kids enjoyed the outdoor play area - this kept them both entertained after finishing their meals.
We can’t think of anything that we didn’t like about the Drayton Crown, Donna worked her socks to make everyone feel welcome and she definitely achieved that with us. We hope to return next year.
