“Was cold when we went. But the heater provided was sufficient. But take extra blankets. Matress and pillows were great! Super cozy. Lots of tools provided. Lights, kitchen utensils, and a few towels and such were there. Kitchen was very useful with flat top and grill. Babbling brook was awesome. Plenty of room in the yurt. Also, a really good location. About 40 minutes max from anywhere you want to go. And boone is clise enough for a dinner out if you want it. Also, close parking makes car……

“The property is so beautiful. We walked the trails several times a day. Our dogs had a great vacation. They loved the freedom of the place. We heard the flying squirrels and were lucky enough to have one float past the window. Nearby we enjoyed the Grayson Highlands State Park. We did a short hike and got to see some wild ponies. The home is beautifully decorated and you can tell the owner wants you to have a great experience.”

“The property was very well maintained. We couldn't enjoy the firepit or the trail located behind the home due to rain but we enjoyed the fireplace and the home itself. Plenty of room, very clean, wonderfully stocked kitchen...could tell the owners really cared about their guests. The location is fantastic, less than 10 minutes to West Jefferson and 14 miles from West Jefferson to Boone. We have definitely found our destination for future trips.”

“When viewing the property from outside driving up, it is shocking. Looks like an abandoned cabin. That’s for tax assessment purposes. Inside is immaculate! Clean, everything you could possibly need from the kitchen to the bathroom furnished. A super place to stay. Spotlessly cleaned. Great view of the city yet close. I will always try to return. ”

“This is our second time staying at this garage apartment cabin. It’s consistently VERY clean and comfortable. It is perfect for our family of four. It’s very well appointed. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it had a Keurig, which we use at home. The location feels remote but is convenient to downtown West Jefferson. My only concern is that a propane heater is used for heat in the living room, which has a strong odor. The heat for the bedrooms and bathroom is on a separate system and does……

“It was a very nice place! The views were great and surrounded by a Christmas Tree farm! The kitchen had all the amenities. The beds were comfortable and it was very clean. A lot of history and a nice mix of modern all in one. The owners were very accommodating. The TV would never connect to the internet, and cell phone set was spotty. But it was nice to disconnect and we played games and enjoyed our grandbaby!”

“Great stay but we got unexpected snow that turned to ice and kept us grounded to the cabin. I met a wonderful family up the hill that went above and beyond to help us out and got us up and down the icy roads to the asphalt road so that we could head home. What a blessing they were. The cabin was wonderful and we enjoyed it completely. Just be aware of the snow and ice conditions because they will sneak up on you and possibly leave you stuck at the cabin. It made some memories that we will be……

“My husband and I ran away for Thanksgiving. It's a holiday that stresses me out so away we went. We live in Florida, but my heart belongs to the mountains. This adorable cabin is tucked away in the mountains so you feel secluded. It's 400sqft of just right. We loved the decorations and look. Unfortunately most of our plans got rained out, but certainly not anyone's fault and we made do. Would recommend this cute little cabin to anyone.”

“We had a great time, cabin is has a nice view of the forest. Short drive to downtown West Jefferson with restaurants and shopping. The cabin itself is located within close proximity to a couple of other cabins. It was well laid out, with primary bedroom downstairs and loft with twin beds. Two great living spaces and well equipped with televisions. Perfect for a little getaway weekend.”

“It was very quiet and peaceful at night and during the day as well. It was nice to have a dishwasher in a cabin. We drove to Grayson Highlands and hiked 2 different days. We went the 2nd day to see the ponies! The hot tub was very relaxing. It was also nice to sit out on the porch on the rocking chairs. There is another cabin next door but we only had neighbors on 1 night of our 4 night stay. Very relaxing and one of the best cabins we've stayed in. The wifi in cabin was excellent. We……
