Beautiful property in a great location
The property is beautiful and looks exactly like what the pictures show.
Pros: great location, helpful and friendly staff, cleaning service is included and they work fast, a breakfast chef is included and will make lunch and dinner for you if you let him know a day ahead of time so he can shop for you, the hot tub is wonderful (you just have to let it heat up), the furniture is comfy, all of the doors open up so you have a wonderful breeze all day long and the beds are comfortable. The view is pretty of the ocean and the jungle. You’ll see birds and lizards and friendly dogs and cats walking around.
Cons: there isn’t a dryer or a place to hang your clothes to dry so you have to get creative. A clothes line upstairs would be helpful. Cash: you need a large amount of pesos and they didn’t tell us that up front so it took having to rent our ATV longer and cost us more money to have to drive to town several times and find a working ATM. You’ll need pesos to pay for photography if you use them, the chefs groceries, tips for all of the help you receive, and taxi rides. This is fine that it’s needed, they just need to say it up front. Also the taxi driver was the scariest driver we have ever encountered and got a speeding ticket while we were in the car with him and he passed people going uphill. Other drivers aren’t like this and we’re waving black flags at him to pass safely and slow down. Cars were coming at us and we had to pull in between two semi truck drivers. Being pulled over by angry policemen is scary for a tourist so know what to say and do if that happens. This isn’t the owners fault but since this is the company they use to drive people, be sure to ask for their safest driver. The property is also located up 3 flights of stairs in case anyone has troubles going up stairs but the view is worth it so I recommend doing it. They help you with luggage so you don’t have to carry it up.
All in all, you’ll love your vacation here. It’s the perfect little getaway and they make sure you don’t have to worry about most things. I felt very safe at this property as it’s gated and we would definitely stay here again. Rent the ATV. It’s worth it and saves on taxi rides into town plus it’s fun!
