  • Welcome to your dream getaway at this stunning 7-bedroom, 7.5-bathroom cabin nestled in the heart of the northern Black Hills recreational corridor within Powder House Pass. Rusty Lantern Lodge is a 4400+ square-foot property that offers a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern amenities, ensuring a memorable and comfortable stay for you and your guests.

    As you arrive, you'll be greeted by a convenient drive-through driveway designed to accommodate trailers, making it easy to bring along your recreational vehicles, snowmobiles, boats, etc. The heated double garage provides ample space for parking and includes a fridge and sink for your convenience.

    Upon entering the cabin, you'll find yourself immersed in a warm and inviting atmosphere. The main living area features an open floor plan, with a cozy fireplace as the focal point, perfect for gathering around during chilly evenings. Large windows throughout the cabin allow for abundant natural light, offering picturesque views of the surrounding landscape and forest. The kitchen area is complete with a large island great for gathering around and plenty of space to cook your favorite meals.

    The fully equipped kitchen boasts modern appliances while you'll also love the Pit Boss griddle & Weber gas grill on the deck, allowing you to indulge in delicious outdoor cooking. The dining area and outdoor deck/patio provides ample seating for your entire group, making it ideal for enjoying meals together. There's 650 sq. ft. of deck area and 450 sq. ft. of outdoor patio making a great space while sipping your morning coffee or to unwind in the inviting hot tub after a day of adventure with your friends and family. There's also a gas firepit on the lower back patio offering the perfect spot to gather under the starry sky and share stories.

    The cabin features seven luxurious bedrooms, each thoughtfully designed to provide a comfortable retreat. The bedrooms are tastefully decorated and furnished with king beds in every bedroom, ensuring a restful night's sleep. With seven and a half bathrooms, there will be no shortage of convenience and privacy for everyone, including a half bathroom just off the heated garage area.

    You'll also love the access to the Powder House Pass community clubhouse and dual pools (larger pool only open in the summer months, smaller pool is open all year and heated). There's a shuffleboard table, pool table, a gas firepit and plenty of space to relax and enjoy some time with your guests all located just a short 1/4 mile from the property.

    Whether you're seeking relaxation or outdoor adventure, this cabin has it all. The house was set up so well for a large group of people and accommodated a variety of ages well!The area is beautiful and the access to the community pools and game room was great! Outdoor seating was nice as well!

This was amazing and accommodated our entire family of 25 people. All of the children had places to sleep. All of the couples had their own rooms. The fire pit and hot tub were in an amazing location! The house was remarkable!

Very clean nicely decorated. Great location. Very spacious for a large family gathering plenty of room to spread out and to have privacy as well. Wonderful screened in porch for grilling. My grandkids loved the pool at the lodge. We love to cook so we never ate out we wished the kitchen would have had a better pots and pan set some larger bowls and plastic cups for kids. Would definitely stay again and would highly recommend. Stayed over the 4 th of July.

The house was comfortable for our entire family. Lots of space to spread out, big table was great for playing games, garage space was great for cornhole tournament, and close to Lead/Deadwood. House was clean and decorated nicely. The entire family loved the house, and we would definitely book again in the future.The kitchen could use a few more pan/pots for cooking.

Lantern Lodge Living

Very nicely done. Layout of bedrooms and baths were excellent for a group of 15…12 adults (6 couples) and 3 infants and we didn’t even use the adorable 6-bunk beds!! Walking distance from pools; great parking that accommodated 8 vehicles. I would definitely come again!

Epic Vacation

We cozied by the fire, warmed in the hot tub, feasted in the massive kitchen, cheered our football teams on the big screen, night swam at the club house, and had a spike ball tourney in the garage. Plus the sunrise is amazing. This home is everything you’re looking for and more. Don’t pass it up.

We got the family together to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday! We have 9 kids and 6 grandchildren so this is a great house for a big family! With 7 bedrooms there is privacy if people want to get away from the chaos! The house is very cozy and welcoming! The Pit Boss griddle was perfect for big breakfasts, hibachi, and smash burgers! Kitchen is well stocked other than it could use a big pot and larger fry pan, and a baking dish! The scenery is beautiful! Highly recommend staying here!

Family Snowmobile Trip

It is close to Lead/Deadwood and also to Recreational Springs and Cheyenne Crossing. We enjoyed a great place to make our breakfast (egg bake, Breakfast burritos, muffins and toast) before leaving for snowmobiling. The steak, lasagna and pizza were great after snowmobiling! Hot tub, Foosball, games & cards and just reminiscing were evening activities. Would recommend for great family times!!

The kitchen is way under supplied with everyday necessary things such as enough cooking utensils measuring devices and such. The walls are very thin I would guess very little if any insulation if you have small children napping this is a problem. Cleanliness on the inside was adequate but the outdoor spaces could definitely use a good cleaning esp around the hot tub area. The dishwasher bottom drawer was broken parts were missing so it was not usable to load it with plates and such because you could not easily slide it in and out. Overall it was a lovely lodge and very spacious and in a beautiful setting.

The homes were beautifully decorated but lack the basic necessities for 26 people. Inside and out we were never able to be totally together. All the accessories on the table and countertop etc had to be removed to make room for food for our family of 26!! Wew would have appreciated a better appointed kitchen along with a hotpot or kettle and pots and dish towels and let’s not forget a drain rack of sorts. There was only one oven mitt. The list could be longer but I am certain that you now know the immediate solution. Lastly we thoroughly enjoyed the space and would recommend it to anyone who might ask.
