"Arrival through beautiful tall wood doors, but have to swing wide to get round them in the car - you can’t see what’s coming until you commit to the turn. Drive lined with lovely terracotta pot lamps which were lit at night, signpost directing you to reception isn’t lit - would be helpful if you arrived at night. Warm welcome by receptionist who also showed us round and to our room. Had booked a mezzanine room which was lovely. Bathroom was on the ground floor, the stairs were quite steep, and hubby’s arthritis was playing up. Also difficult if you need the bathroom during the night as room became very dark. Hubby ended up sleeping in the lounge area for safety for the first night. Spoke to Francesco in reception the next morning and he kindly sourced us a fully ground floor room “we want to keep our guests happy!” The rooms are decorated in keeping with the Moroccan style, but are tired and in need of renovation, particularly the terracotta floor tiles which are badly damaged and gouged and are an accident waiting to happen - also in reception area. Wardrobe was dusty. Pool is large and spacious, surrounded by palms, cleaned each day. Site is open to day guests and it was very hot so can become crowded.
