“Clean and safe ”

“Lovely room, very clean and spacious. Air con was much appreciated in a heatwave! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food menu is limited but good. Drinks are overpriced . Parking in car park next to hotel has to be paid for .”

“We like the Sparrow because of its location - near junction of A46 and M6 and it’s quite comfortable as well. We didn’t try the food on this occasion.”

“My 3rd stay here the showers are good the hotel is clean I stayed in room 1 the bed wasn’t as comfortable as the last 2 times and they’ve changed policy check out is now 10 am so for that reason I probably won’t return it’s good for what you pay but 10 am is just. A little too early for me”

“The lift was broken so the service lift was the only option. However the landing areas were 'behind the scenes' and poor quality. I did not much care for the long black hairs stuck to the walls of the shower from a previous guest. Clearly not a good cleaning regime. The shower has my pet hate. The shower controls are behind the door. You can't use them without being inside it and it is too small to avoid getting the inevitable blast of cold water that is living in the pipes before whatever……

“Booking in was very slow no staff around waited 10 minutes”

“Our room was not as big as expected from the photos and we were overlooking a flat roof with extractor fans continuously on - not so great when we had to have the windows open in the heat and could not get the ac to work. However an extremely helpful receptionist (Jay) gave us a different room a little bit further away which was a little bit bigger and slightly less noisy (thanks Jay 🙂). Lovely hotel in a beautiful setting by the river. Evening meal was nice, but I was still hungry as the……
