Nice cottage , few cob webs around, could of been warmer inside, was asked not to turn boiler temper
Nice cottage , few cob webs around, could of been warmer inside, was asked not to turn boiler temperature above 40c, main road is quite close to cottage so can hear cars going past, overall pretty good experience.

Enjoyed our stay despite 2 days of heavy rain which forced us to batten down the hatches and chill.
Enjoyed our stay despite 2 days of heavy rain which forced us to batten down the hatches and chill. The area looks nice and places are easy to get to thanks to excellent roads. Cabin was warm and inviting. Telly was good with freeview plus. Biggest drawback was the rather dozy living room light. We had to commandeer a bedside lamp from the second bedroom and even then it was dull. OK to watch tv but rubbish for reading or doing puzzles. Amenities fine with adequate kitchen and toilet facilities. Welcome pack was a packet of mint Matchmakers. Not the best I'm afraid. Tea bags and milk would be a better idea? Would recommend the cabin and nearby is Rutland Water which is fabulous for dogs who are allowed to go in the restaurant at Normanton. Also Stamford , about 20 minutes drive , is a beautiful town reminiscent of Beverley or Ripon. So enjoy !
