Was clean and is under slow renovation, but for one night and the price it was ok, staff very welcoming and helpful.
Was an excellent experience staying at the Greyhound hotel, friendly staff at reception and perfect location. Felt very safe there too. The telly didn't work but the staff promptly swapped it for one that does so no worries on that one. Will definitely stay there again.

No problem parking, a few facilities in walking distance near by. Chennai Indian Restaurant very good, 7 min walk towards Bents Garden Centre. Staff helpful and friendly.
the staff was very kind and available to answer to all of our questions. the location is far from the city, but it’s not impossible to reach it if you’re down to get a few transports. I cannot complain. it was still extremely cheap even if manchester was full of tourists for the oasis concerts! it was a nice short stay for us

Did what I needed it to do.
Stayed overnight for the races in the nearby town.
Hotel looks very run down, but the staff were very friendly and could not fault that.
Rooms were very dated, but beds were clean and very comfortable.
Brother in law was threatened to be stabbed at the petrol station over the road, and some really sketchy charecters were sat outside the hotel, but that is not the hotels fault.
It is clear to see they are trying to do the best they can with what they have.
Good place , clean , spacious & quiet
Maybe they need to open the restaurant and bar since the place is islated otherwise crossing to that petrol station for a simple shopping is unsafe...i spent nearly 20mins maneuvering to cross
OVERALL A GOOD STAY.
This is a Budget hotel so don't expect luxury but budget accommodation.
Excellent value for the size of the room, a few scuffs and marks etc and limited facilities in the hotel but as this is a budget hotel you don't book expecting it to have 5 star facilities.
It was clean and tidy and the staff are amazing and very helpful.
close to both Manchester Trafford centre, Liverpool, Chester and was a great base for us.

Disliked: Cleanliness
Unfriendly staff upon arrival. Aside from being heavily outdated the carpets were both crispy with age and sporting numerous sticky patches. The decor was also suffering the same fate as the carpet regarding its age.
The bathtub looked like a murder scene had happened in the past with a very stained, grotesque tub.
I wasn't aware beds could be sold that hard, the mattress was very reminiscent of a hard stone floor I had once passed out on drunkenly in my youth.
Aside from the brutal room conditions it was sporting fresh towels, hot drinks and clean sheets (on the bed that I really cant stress enough how hard it was).

A pleasant stay but first impressions were poor.
The Greyhound is a place with potential that has been allowed to decline by its previous owners. The rooms are a decent size, the bathroom is good with a good sized bath, the bed was reasonably comfortable. Service was good and when there was a leak in the bathroom I was immediately given another room without question. The location is convenient for visiting both Manchester and Liverpool, Port Sunlight, etc.
But there is no restaurant or bar on site nor is there one in convenient walking distance.
Hotel is very basic, needs totally refurbishing, carpets, and furniture badly stained. No restaurant or bar. Staff were friendly. Only stayed one night, glad I didn't have to stay longer. No amenities close by. If you need just a one night stay, its ok. The hotel itself still advertise a pool, bar and restaurant. Which is false. I wouldn't stay again.
Read so many bad reviews but we had a family of 8 it was perfect for one night there is a pub and a indian restaurant within walking distance less than a 5 min walk after a day at gulivers to get your head down cant complain.

Basic but comfortable
Very tired hotel in need of much redecorating. I paid £61 for a double room which, I feel, was a fair price.
The sheets and bathroom were clean, probably the most important thing.

The staff we faultless friendly helpful , the place does not look like the photos , bed was clean and fresh sheets very dated and worn carpets funiture and decor our bedside wall lamp was missing also the bath enamel was worn away , had a ok sleep no breakfast so not worth the price and I usually look at reviews, won’t stay again unless revamped again staff can’t fault them .
Receptionist was a bit arrogant, not very welcoming. Room was lovely, shower could do with upgrade as no pressure behind it. Had no anti slip mat for in shower and no outer mat so nearly slipped getting out of shower. Windows were broken so had no fresh air. Fan was dusty on blades. Makeup on walls near mirror.
The only good point was that the bed was clean & comfortable.
The general cleanliness of the room was poor, marks on the walls, tape remnants on one of the windows as well as spiders & thick webs, carpet coming apart.
The pool although closed was in a disgusting condition, the lift was out of order (at least for 2 months) so having to carry luggage & a 1 year old was ridiculous !!! My rooms electronic door handle was defective, so they'd fitted a yale lock.
The owners need to spend a lot of money to gring it anywhere near how a 3* should be. Oh & no breakfast being available is ridiculous also. Plus the outside needs serious maintenance...

The important things were fine, helpful staff, clean sheets and so on, but the whole place is very run down.
Window was broken in hotel room so the noise of the road was really loud. Bedding didn't smell very clean. Wasn't a double bed was two singles put together. No food available. Only one cup in the room. Wifi is good
