「A gem of a place for a birthday overnight stay. Laurent and Bruno were exceptionally warm and welcoming and our son was delighted that his bedroom had the beautiful view of the Chateau Gaillard! Seizing the moment early Sunday morning to look at the respective views whilst reading, we knew we would like to return for longer. The best breakfast on Sunday morning made it hard to leave. Thank you!!」

「The hotel was located right across the street from the station so it was very convenient as we traveled in and out of Rouen by train. The staff was very helpful and showed us how to get to the main attractions. We were upgraded to a larger room and it was great. There was a kettle and free tea bags and instant coffee were provided. "Great location for exploring Rouen If you’re looking for a hotel in a great location, I would definitely recommend the Mercure Rouen. Everything is within easy walking distance, which made exploring the city really convenient. We stayed in a family room with a king-size bed and bunk beds for the kids, which worked perfectly for us. The room faced the street, but it was surprisingly quiet, and the air conditioning was excellent — especially appreciated during the hot weather! The amenities are fairly minimal, but you have everything you need for a short stay. The gym is very basic and could definitely be better equipped. Overall, a very comfortable and practical base for a couple of days in Rouen, and we would happily stay again."
