“This property was not what was advertised. It was clean but that was pretty much the only thing that was good. And the air-conditioning worked well. The pool area was nice but there were broken chairs and not many. It had cracked and uneven pavement. The rooms were very old with worn and tarnished bathroom fixtures - small cracks in mirror and that old colouration that happens around the edges.
The wifi was terrible and I had to go to the lobby to use the secured wifi. The adjacent restaurant……

I reserved a two bedroom unit as I did not want to share a bedroom with my elderly parents who get up to use the bathroom all night long. “I can't say enough for what a great time we had at Kakao Lodge. I was skeptical at first since I usually like staying in my chain hotels that provide all the normal American comforts. But after staying here, my mind has totally changed. You can't describe how awesome it is to be able to see a half dozen different species of exotic frogs at night, or a sloth while eating breakfast, or tropic birds singing to you in the morning.
