"With the exception of current road construction at the entrance, the hotel is in a nice location. Clean, plenty of parking, nice breakfast. Would definitely stay again."
"The room was great! The room was clean and the beds comfortable. The only “not so great” was being awakened at 1:15am and about 7am by the train! So so loud BUT not a fault of the hotel but a “oh by the way” is in order 😂 Overall a great experience."
Secluded Log Cabin getaway, with hot tub, and a beautiful view.

"This was an amazing cabin for our family to stay in! It was beautiful, spacious, and extremely comfortable. The hosts were very responsive and even checked on us to make sure we made it in! The only suggestion I would make, is to have the light switches labeled… there’s a lot of them and we did a lot of flipping lights on/off to find the right one! We would definitely stay again and are already talking about next years trip!"
"The hotel was undergoing a remodel, but was as clean as could be expected. Patty at the front desk was super nice and very helpful. Our room was clean, there was an abundance of hot water and water pressure, and above all, even though the hotel is adjacent to the Interstate, it was quiet! The breakfast selection was pretty much Continental...scrambled eggs, sausage patties, biscuits and gravy, various breads for toasting, an assortment of cereals (Hot and Cold), fresh fruit and juices, coffee, and milk. One word of warning, parking was ample, but the lot doesn't go all the way around the building. One way in, one way out. Oh! No elevator to the second floor..."
"My first contact was when I noticed I had reserved a room for the wrong date. Holly was gracious enough to change to the correct date and fortunate for us another room was available. When I returned home, I realized my iPad was missing. I called Holly and she was able to find. My first experience with The Tanglewood was such after two of my mistakes, they may not want us back. Holly’s business sense was very good. She was always calm and ready to help when needed, spoke clearly and was poised. She is a keeper."
Beautiful, cozy, lakeside wooded getaway in serene surroundings.

"This property is excellent! If you're even considering booking, just book it now & worry not. Here's why (read to the end):First, it's off the beaten path. You will feel like you're on vacation "in the country" before you get to see the chickens and hear the rooster on the property! Surrounded by mature trees, trails, and a nice fishing pond, there is serenity in every direction. Beautiful.Secondly, the house is quaint and has character; clean and cared for. It is cozy for a couple, but roomy enough for a family. We had 4 people stay 1 night. The 2 adults used the bedroom, a teen used the Murphy bed in the living room, and a 2nd teen used the sleeping pad on the floor behind the couch in the living room. All were comfortable. If you had more kids, you can throw air mattresses down because there is more floor space! The bathroom was modern and everyone who used the shower said how good it felt! The front porch was a comfy and calm place to sit and enjoy the sounds of nature.Lastly, I would normally say my favorite part of the trip was all the bass I caught in the pond...what a great time! However, the actual the best part of the trip was meeting and getting to know our host, Cara. You see, we were in a tornado warning situation that night and she made sure our family was safe through the storms. When you have an unbelievable experience like that, there just aren't enough stars to give! Thank you for your "above and beyond" hospitality Cara! You are the absolute best!"
"The property was historic. Loved the charm. The bed was very nice and we slept well. Small town Indiana at its best. Sauerkraut balls at the Bier Garden were great and we enjoyed the live music. Thanks for a great weekend with no kids."
