“A lovely break - the house was pretty much as described.The pool is great - the outside eating space is fantastic and there are 3 big fridges to keep everything cold. The living accommodation is great and it really is a lovely house. Tennis court is in good nick - but bring your own racquets and balls as the stuff there is not great.Thierry - who sorts out any issues was great and really responsive. A few small negatives - the oven is pretty useless and I see that previous reviews have……

“We stayed at La Vieille Ferme at the end of June 2025. We were four couples and an infant - myself, my wife, our three children and spouses. We loved the setting, the area, the house and the facilities. Jo was an excellent host and made us very welcome without intruding. We would happily stay again!”

“Excellent location, really gorgeous pool and spaces outside were perfect for us, we had four adults and five children between us and the youngest was kept safe as there is no access to the pool or the road if you keep the door and gates locked, which was really helpful. Our trips to Aubeterre were lovely and just a short drive away, sadly the restaurant in Montboyer was closed but we enjoyed making pizza outside and cooking lots of meat and salads. “Belle gîte honoured its name: within an old farmhouse this gîte was charmingly set and furbished, with access to beautiful terrace under high roof where we relaxed every night and during daytime as well. The pool is in the back garden with view on vineyards and surrounding area. Hosts Simon and Cheryl are wonderful, around and available if needed, warm and positive attitude. Peaceful area full of vineyards.”

“We loved this house - it’s huge with lots of rooms and great spaces for meals etc. We loved the pool and garden and the location was great for exploring the local area and delicious restaurants and a shop within walking distance. Will definitely visit again! ”
