“Very comfortable, well cared for and well equipped home, even if the layout is a bit strange. We loved sitting on the front porch watching the world go by. The host was most friendly and helpful. It is a convenient place to stay when visiting Lake James and we will happily stay here again.”

“This tiny cabin is adorable and perfect for 2 adults. What a great location for water fun and mountain hiking. We would come again:). I’m not sure how 6 people would do, perhaps if 4 are small children. Note that the loft is not big enough for an adult to sit up. This did not matter for us. We loved this cabin.”

She ensured that we had coffee and breakfast every morning before we headed out for long days celebrating my sister's wedding in the area. “We had an amazing time at the farm. It was so relaxing and peaceful. We fed the horses, pigs, and donkey carrots. This was the perfect mountain get away for our family. This property is in the middle of so many fun places to visit. Plenty of things to do for everyone in the family. Dara was a gracious host and was easy to get a hold of anytime we needed. We cannot wait to go back for a longer stay!”

“I found this hidden gem by complete accident. I had planned a trip to Little Switzerland to enjoy the twisty roads in our sports car and I stumbled upon this listing. The only disappointment I had was that I did not stay there long enough. Because it was heavenly. The property is nestled on the edge of hill overlooking a gorgeous valley. We had plenty of space to park, roads were well maintained for those planning on bringing a low sports car. We a had a minor issue entering the neighborhood……

“Stayed here for a long weekend to celebrate a birthday. It was the perfect little cabin for two - quaint and homey furnishings plus a stocked kitchen and a bowl of candy provided by the host! We loved the location right next to the river, and there were plenty of other activities within a short drive. Can't wait to stay there again.”

“This private, quaint Trails End Cabin is the best way to experience all of the outdoors that western NC has to offer. The hosts Josh and Sharon, have all of the well stocked amenities, inside and out, to make your stay very comfortable. From plenty of toiletries, extra coffee and quiet outside grilling/fire pit. Could not ask for a better experience and definitely will come back. I would rate 10-Stars if possible!”

“Great for 2 friends to get out in the country for fishing. Beds are clean and comfortable, and it even had Wi-Fi! Which was unexpected. Great little fire pit to sit around and watch the fireflies. Parking is a small challenge, we found it best to back up down the driveway and park halfway off the driveway to leave room has requested by the owner.”

Great location, very quiet except for the nearby construction. We would recommend you not go in cool -- or most definitely cold -- months. The place doesn't have central heat, which is fine, but the heaters it does have are simply not sufficient to keep the house warm. Not pleasant to come home to. “We stayed here for an anniversary trip and wanted to be close to everything but not in the middle of it all. This location fit the bill perfectly. You’re very close to neighboring cottages but it was QUIET throughout our time there. The host was very responsive, replying back to a question of mine within 5-10 minutes. We’ll definitely stay here again the next time we’re in the area.”
