This charming apartment renovated in 2011 is on the ground floor of the most picturesque quarter of Lisbon – Alfama. It has plenty of sunlight and offers spectacular views over the Tejo river and city monuments.
Perfectly located between the most popular viewpoints Miradouro de Santa Luzia and Miradouro das Portas do Sol where you can enjoy a coffee on the esplanade, contemplate the beauty of the city and visit the Museum of Decorative Art. It is just a few steps away from Lisbon's cathedral, the Sé, São Jorge Castle, Santo António church (Lisbon’s popular saint) as well as the famous flea market Feira da Ladra. From this apartment you can explore the rest of the city walking to Baixa, Bairro Alto or Chiado.
The apartment is totally equipped and well served by public transports like the old fashioned n.º 28 tram, tram n.º 12, the mini-bus 37 (their stop are 3 minutes walking distance from the apartment) and it is also at a walking distance to the train station and subway Santa Apolónia. Nearby you have all kinds of traditional commerce, bars, restaurants and the traditional Fado houses.

Eine süße Wohnung mitten in der Alfama, durch die sehr detaillierte Beschreibung gut zu erreichen, wenn man fit auf den Füßen ist.Der Ausblick vom Wohnzimmer auf den Tejo und über die Dächer hat uns immer wieder erfreut. Wenn man aus der Tür tritt ist man mitten im Geschehen. Schön ist es wenn der Aufzug genutzt werden kann.Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

The GoodThe host appeared friendly and communicative. However we did not need much support as we had been to Lisbon before, so contact was at a minimum. Self check-in and check-out was super easy and straight forward. Location and especially the view from the flat are phenomenal. Good way to keep some calories in check going up and down the Alfama stairs. The apartment is a good size, nice water pressure in the shower and the kitchen has all the basics required during a city trip. We also enjoyed some of the cute decorations like the mid century lamps. The BadThe apartment is somewhat tired and felt a bit sticky overall. And be aware it smells very very musty and damp in there. We had to sleep in the living area as the bedroom area is very small and you couldn’t open the window to air it out. Which really took value for money away and made our stay somewhat uncomfortable and not very well rested. If you have allergies or issues with sinuses this may not be tolerable. Fanning towers are provided but they genuinely need a clean as they are full of dust.

Communication avec la Proprietaire rapide et efficace. Clarté des informations pour l’arrivée facile. Lieu au cœur du quartier Alfama facilite les déplacements à pieds.Propreté: 1 cafard mort trouvé. La propriétaire assure que l’appartement est traité annuellement et que cela peut arriver à l’occasion à cause de la chaleur dans ce quartier. Nous avons remarqué des poisons à insectes sous les meubles du salon et comptoir de cuisine. L’Appartement etait propre à l’arrivée mais les tiroirs et rangement de cuisine n’étaient pas fraîchement nettoyés (grains, poussière, taches de nourriture etc). C’était peut-être une situation isolée, mais c’est à vérifier avant de réserver). Nous aurions espéré une propreté impeccable mais nous comprenons que ce genre de situation puisse arriver de temps en temps. Malgré ces quelques inconvénients, nous avons quand même apprécié notre séjour et laissons une bonne note car nous croyons la propriétaire de bonne foi.

Leuk appartement met perfecte ligging

Wij hebben genoten van het verblijf. De locatie midden in de wijk Alfama is perfect. Appartement is niet enorm luxe maar alles is aanwezig. Uitzicht is schitterend! Airco is niet aanwezig maar er zijn ventilators.

A minor issue with the hot water heater. Host had a technician there the next day. In housing in a city that dates back millenia some problems should be expected. You could not ask for a better location or a more accommodating host.

In the center of the most interesting part of Lisbon

Great location but the handy public elevator wasn’t working. Suitcase shuffling as a single was a challenge. Using the stairs each day became easier and great exercise as I toured the city. Well worth it!!

Nice flat with a perfect location

We stayed four nights and we had a great time in Lisboa. The flat is located perfectly in the Alfama district and you can walk pretty much everywhere. We enjoyed our stay. The check in process was easy and the contact with the manager was easy.

Great place for single or two!

Excellent location in Alfalma with access to so many restaurants and shops (of course it is in Alfalma). Small living room with great view of port and very airy. Kitchen is small but adequate with needed appliances. Bed is comfortable. The place is very clean and owner is very responsive. Overall a very good experience and highly recommend it.

Short stay

Place is located right in the Alfama area of Lisbon. Not for the faint of heart for walking. The elevator in the listing was not in service during our visit, so it ywas stairs only. Place is cute for two with beautiful views to the Tagus where several cruise ships port. The downside is if you have allergies to spores this may not be your place. It because it's near the ocean / rrover does get misty. I am an allergy sufferer and even taking my medication I still got stuffed up. My wife and I didn't have the heat on as it was beautiful and even opened all the windows we could to alleviate the issue with my allergies and it did not help. But as stated other than my allergies the place is set in a gem of an area of Alfama
