Disappointing Experience – Not a 5-Star Hotel by Any Means
This hotel may have been considered five-star in the past, but unfortunately, that no longer seems to be the case.
From the moment we arrived, the room key cards were a constant issue. They repeatedly stopped working, and each time we had to return to reception to have them reactivated—often waiting in long queues just to access our own room. This quickly became frustrating and unacceptable for a hotel of this supposed calibre.
While the hotel advertises several beautiful restaurants and bars, they were all closed during breakfast hours. Instead, breakfast was served in a dull, uninviting conference room with poor lighting and zero atmosphere. Even worse, there was no fresh coffee—only a machine with powdered milk. I’ve been to Lisbon many times and have stayed in both four and five-star hotels, and I’ve never experienced breakfast of such low quality.
As seen in my photos, the room itself was also disappointing—stained carpets, an unpleasant view, and a high level of street noise that made it difficult to rest. To top it off, we noticed a bag of leftover Uber Eats food sitting outside a room in the hallway for two full days, creating a bad smell throughout the floor.
Overall, this hotel was a major letdown. Save your money and look elsewhere—you can find much better value and service elsewhere in Lisbon!
