The Inn at Shady Lawn

10/10 Excellent

"This was a cute little hotel, I told my husband it was shady pines from the golden girls so we were laughing every time we mentioned the hotel. Parking was tight when we returned from dinner but still worked out. Star wars fans would love the lobby Tons of sink space, plenty of pillows and Towels, I appreciate towels!! The air conditioner didn't really get the room cold and I was sweating most of the nighthad to leave the window blinds open to keep the air conditioner running also:("

"This quaint motel is so darn cute and reminded me of the old motor courts from the 1950 movies. Everything from soft sheets and towels to special touches throughout made our room feel like home. The street was very quiet as were the guests. I think the Inn Keepers live on site so available to handle many needs quickly. Parking was great, right at the front door of our room. Loved our stay and will stay again next time we return to Burnsville, NC"

"I stayed here for 2 nights and it was wonderful for what i needed. The owner was very helpful and even had complementary waters and soda’s in the main office. My only complaint was that the air in the room was a little damp so towels did not dry very well and the room seemed oddly wet but it did not disrupt my stay."

"I like that it has old Alpine Charm that fits the highlands. They have go to great lengths to build out decks from the restaurant, have pickle bar ball court. There is a specialty food truck onsite in addition to good menu and nice bar, it gives the Pineola a vibe of youth and comfort. Although I don’t stay often I live in Newland in Summer and will make sure I get back to restaurant/ bar to relax one evening."
