Absolutely ideal if heading down to a Liverpool game which I used it for. Perfect place to get your head down the night before travelling home the next day. It’s no 5 star hotel but it does do the job ticks all the boxes, service was absolutely brilliant hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating to me and my 7 year old boy. Makes a difference having down to earth people who really enjoy their job not miserable because they hate the job they’re in. Areas not great on the eye but very handy for over night stay.

The staff were great and very helpful. The room was large but I wouldn't say modern although very clean. Unfortunately it was in a run down area and about a 15 min bus ride into the town. It served my purpose as I needed to be nearby to an event I was attending.

Reception were absolutely lovely and gave us a warm welcome. Parking was limited but available when we arrived which was early evening. The room was clean, bright and all in working order. The bed was very comfortable and we slept really well. Overall, no complaints and can't sniff at the price. Didn't make it to breakfast so couldn't comment on that.

Stayed for 2 nights during the June heatwave and our bedroom was so hot. We had a fan provided by the hotel but it was just blowing hot air around. We propped open the window but unfortunately the breeze never reached us. Continental breakfast was good and helpful staff but hotel was tired and needed updating. Loose carpet on the first floor by the main door was a trip hazard. Lift didn't work too.
