This place is a quiet and friendly hotel where the staff make you feel very welcome. The breakfast we had was fabulous and the walks nearby were amazing we will definitely be staying there again!

Hotel room basic could of done with a women's touch with the cleaning. Evening food in the bar was excellent. The hunters chicken was the best I've ever had, and the fish and chips was 1st class. Breakfast was just as good all cooked to order and plenty of it.

Photo's on website didnt match what we found on arrival and definitely 2 star. But the staff were friendly. The breakfast and dinners were great value and delicious it's in a good location and easy to park.

Lovely little hotel and pub. The food was great, and very reasonably priced. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful, despite being rushed off their feet in the evenings. Will stay there again if we are in the area

Room was small, but cheep and cheerful, with good wifi. The "early" breakfast was prompt, and plentiful. The "normal" breakfast superb. Local supermarket stocks everything you need for lunches.

Unfortunately the bed was very uncomfortable and the room was very dirty. Needs a good wipe around the skirting boards. But could also do with a lick of paint

Shabby and dated decor, a door off the bathroom had a notice on saying it was to be kept locked, this was open and working combi boiler was inside covered in cobwebs with big holes in floor boards, couldn’t sleep worrying about carbon monoxide poisoning! Towel rails dropped of the wall when you touched them, light above sink not working in bathroom, carpet was dirty, windows wouldn’t open, on the plus side clean sheets and towels

Dirty bathroom with no heating. Poor sound proofing; could hear conversation and snoring from people above. Dirty carpet, squeaky mattress, cold and dingy. I would not stay there again.

A super September short stay!!

Excellent welcome, clean and comfortable beds, modern power shower, TV, and free refreshments. Very convenient parking, and fresh wholesome meals. Jamie, the owner, was most obliging, helpful, and having grown up in the local countryside, can provide informative local knowledge. His staff were efficient and very pleasant.
