“Good location for visiting local towns and beaches, meeting our needs. Very relaxing and peaceful location surrounded by woodlands and fields as well as a lake. Owner on site and friendly.”

“We enjoyed our stay at Rose Cottage. There were some initial issues which were resolved by the owner very promptly. The information from Oyster Cottages describes a Superking size bed in the main room, It is a very comfy bed in a lovely room but it is only a Kingsized. The two singles in the 2nd bedroom downstairs can be converted to a Superking size though. My score of 3 on cleanliness is due to this being an old property and there were inevitable cobwebs in nooks and crannies but we found……

“The holiday cottage and its surroundings are rather pleasant and peaceful. It is ideally situated for exploring the Llŷn Peninsula, heading further north (Caernarfon, Anglesey, Portmeiron…) or going for a hike in Snowdonia. We also appreciated the proximity of the Aldi supermarket, just a few minutes’ drive away, and the easy and friendly communication with Oyster Holiday Cottages. However, we were rather disappointed on arrival compared to what the photos had promised (a very good photographer……

“Lovely stay”

“Cosy cottage - perfect for two and a dog. The cottage sits on its own, and has a secure gated driveway, but the added convenience of being just off the main road into Criccieth and Pwllheli, and with a mile walk to the beach. Well equipped in the main, though take your own loo rolls! Booked through Hotels.com but actually through Sykes Cottages, who offered great service on the phone. Although it would have been nice to have sufficient logs for our stay on arrival, when we requested more, there……

“Fantastic service and communication from the host. Lovely, quiet retreat. You are "out on a limb", a maze of country lanes. Worth the solitude. Plenty of parking. Taxi service available. We spent the bulk of our time visiting local towns and villages during the day. The evenings were back in the cottage for a home cooked meal. If you fancy a fabulous Sunday Lunch, book in at Portmeirion. The per head price includes entry to the grounds. Worth every penny. There is a fantastic Art Deco……

“It was clean and tidy and decent kitchen facilities, there was no coffee table or table to eat at so we had to eat on our laps which was not ideal. The garden could do with a gate as it's on the main road to Pwllheli - we could not let our dogs out. The garden was chipping pretty much and surrounded by a caravan motorhome storage , no plants and pretty uninviting so we never used it even though the weather was good - the garden could do with some plants. The bedroom had a blind and the light……

“The cottage was lovely and cosy. Spotlessly clean and the hot tub was ideal. It was ideal for the dog with a secure enclosed outside area to let it out into. Lovely walks from the front door, especially 10 minutes to beach and then 7 mile walk to Pwllheli.”
