Among the Trees, Beyond Disappointing for 497.34 per nightOne of the most expensive—and by far one of the most disappointing —vacation rentals we’ve ever stayed in. I’d describe the “experience”as a tent with hard walls. My husband and I booked this property for a weekend family wedding and were genuinely excited about the unique treehouse experience. Unfortunately, it turned into a frustrating and disappointing stay from start to finish. The only highlight was the suspension bridge, which was genuinely a neat feature. Once we checked in, the issues began almost immediately:* One of the lamps was broken, and we were simply told a replacement had been “ordered.”* The air conditioning did not function properly, leaving the treehouse warm, humid, and uncomfortable for our entire stay.* The bed creaked loudly with every movement, making it difficult to sleep.* The towels were thin, worn out, and so small they would barely wrap around a child.* The hot tub stopped working after approximately five minutes of use.* The showerhead was severely clogged or deteriorated, spraying water in every direction with little usable pressure. It either needs a thorough cleaning or complete replacement.* The hairdryer was visibly melted, smelled burnt, and appeared to be a legitimate fire hazard. For the price, this property falls dramatically short of expectations. I’ve stayed in five-star hotels that cost less and provided exceptional accommodations and customer service.
