Location of the property was brilliant as close to the middle of town and facilities. Misleadingly advertised re parking as this was street parking and not on the property. Not an issue as it turned out but was not clear in the property description. Also, description talks about restaurant and laundry facilities but these were not offered and so assumed they did not exist. Staff were very friendly and breakfast was good without being outstanding. 3 stars adequately described the property but as a base for exploring Derry, it was good.

For anyone who is truly interested in the history of Derry, you could not have a better location. The staff were extremely helpful and great to converse with. When we have occasion to return, The Abbey is our choice. We will recommend it highly to out friends and family who care about Ireland and Derry.

Very good atmosphere and lovely owner and wife and staffs.. clean room and very good place aswell.. had Irish breakfast first time!! Nice.. next month we going again there!! Will book same hotel… thank u so much

Great breakfast each morning to start our day of meandering through beautiful and friendly Derry; the history is fascinating and the architecture makes the cozy feel cozy.

Situé tout proche du centre-ville, c'est le lieu idéal pour profiter de l'ambiance des pubs et de la fête du week-end. Seamus and Helen are great people and extremely nice and hospitable owners. Ellie is wonderful as well. We enjoyed our stay here and felt like family. Their location is very much in the center of Derry.
