"After a long day of travel, being welcomed with complimentary chilled Prosecco in a real glass champagne flute was a classy way to kick off our stay. While we checked in, our boys enjoyed a game of tic-tac-toe by the fireplace—a cozy first impression. The inn is beautiful and regal, and we loved its rich history and character. Some of the carpeting could use a refresh, but our room was clean and comfortable. The steamer/iron worked perfectly, which we especially appreciated since we were in town for a campus tour and wanted to look presentable! Breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented. There was a bit of a wait for coffee and a few items, including the bacon, but the chef explained that with school back in session, they were working with a smaller staff. We appreciated the explanation and enjoyed the meal. One amusing surprise was the music. We heard ’90s rock from check-in until around 10 p.m. and again around 7 a.m. the next morning. Given the inn’s historic character and connection to the school, we assumed it was coming from the student dorms and wondered why no one had asked the students to turn it down. Then, at breakfast, we discovered the music was actually coming from the hotel’s dining room! My husband and I found the music choice an interesting juxtaposition to such a historic New England inn. We thought classical music might have complemented the atmosphere beautifully. Still, it certainly made for a memorable experience."

"Oh my gosh I can’t say enough positive things about this place (staff mostly) My fiancé and I stayed here a few weeks ago and I booked it for his birthday. I was messaging the staff ahead of time and they actually asked what his name was so they could write a card. When we walked in there was a hand written card, along with little rose petals, candles, a couples game to play, and more. Those special touches meant the world to me. It was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed to have an unplugged relaxing night. It’s the most unique place I’ve stayed and truly allows you to relax. Thank you so much to the team"
