The location is stunning- on the beach, beautiful views. The house is lovely- well supplied, clean. Kathy is great- very responsive. Her recommendations were very helpful. Loreto is a very sweet town. A lot of good food and outdoor activities. The people are very kind and helpful.
It is a great property. A stone throw from the ocean. This was our second time renting this house. Kathy the property manager helped us in every way possible. Would definitely rent this house again
If you are looking to get off the beaten path of the little Loretto town, this beautiful house just north of the plaza is exquisite. It takes about 20 minutes at a good pace to walk to the pier in about 30 minutes at a good pace to walk to the plaza. We did it almost daily, after taking a dip in the Sea of Cortez and using the paddle boards. The kitchen was fantastically stocked, and we made delicious meals and smoothies while listening to the Sea lapping at our doorstep. The beds were all very comfortable and the location was quite quiet. We felt very safe at all times. We stayed with 3 generations and everybody had a terrific time. You cannot go wrong booking this place (just know the pool is not heated and is absolutely frigid in the winter time but the Sea is lovely and even better than a pool!). The host lives nearby and was very responsive and helpful whenever anything came up.
I must say that this is one of the best VRBO's I have ever stayed at and I plan to return again in the future. The house was very clean and had ample space for all of us. We had coffee on the porch each morning with a beautiful ocean view and then took a stroll along the beach which begins the minute you open the back gate. It is about a 10-15 minute walk from the house to downtown via walking the beach. By car, only 5 minutes. We loved Loreto, the people and the food. Our house host, Kathy, was always available to us for any questions we had. And, she always answered them in a very timely manner. I highly recommend this property.
We had never been to Loreto and when I started looking at properties to rent a friend had recommended this property. Boy, she was spot on! Right on the beach with a very graciously appointed home and large patio. Four of us that went live in waterfront homes, so we are pretty picky about waterfront properties and this one checked all the boxes. We had three couples and the space was very accommodating for the group. Kat arranged dinner for us at the house one night and it was a real treat. Plus, she was very available when we had questions about local restaurants and activities. We swam at the beach and walked to town for dinner almost every night. I highly recommend this property.
This home was beautfilly located north of town. The website pictures are true to form and accurately depict the house furnishings and layout. The neighborhood was lovely. It was a nice 20 minute walk via the beach into town which we did everyday. Our beachfront view was spectacular with morning sunrise views, the best with coffee on a comfy chair. The kitchen was abundantly stocked with everything we would have in our own homes to bake, cook or bbq. The open floor plan was amazing especially with the Sea of Cortes views. All three bedrooms had king beds and were very comfortable. The washer/dryer was an added bonus. We did not use the pool as it was cooler than the sea. The house manager Kathy was awesome and available to us at any time and responded to questions about where to dine and where to sightsee. Loreto is a lovely town with amazing restaurants and very friendly folks. This is our third time back and we would definitely stay here again.
This is a “wow” property. When you walk into the courtyard and see the pool and the sea of Cortez you know you are home. House is really spacious for 4 people. All the bedrooms are large and beds are comfortable. Bathrooms have plenty of counters and showers are large. Kitchen has a huge island and work space you need. The patio is awesome. The Mexican tile work is phenomenal. Plenty of chairs and tables and the Sea is right there. The morning sunrise is beautiful. We had some small issues with the AC, water and toilets but Kathy was responsive and she had her “guy” come over to fix the issues. There are no bikes or kayak but have 2 paddle boards that we used. The last mile to the house in “gringoland” the locals name for the housing development is a dirt and rocky road. Bumpy and dirty. You definitely need a car to go into town. Lots of new homes going up here but the marina area and the Plaza are the places with restaurants and shops. We like the plaza the best. Loreto is not Cabo. This is a small town and you are conversing with the locals a lot. There are a lot of roaming dogs and cats at the house, beach, restaurants and city center. There was a black and white cat that showed up every day at the house and we named her Panda. It is an oddity of the town but works. Finally we took 3 snorkeling trips with both tour companies and had a blast. The reefs are a wonderful experience. we played golf at TPC and Loreto golf resort too. TPC is well worth the big price tag and the drive is pretty cool. Awesome mountain course with great holes and spectacular scenery. Loreto golf is a dog track with horses on the course and some pretty beat up fairways. They keep the greens in nice shape so it’s playable. The back 9 has 6 fantastic water/ocean holes that make it worthwhile. Keep your expectations low and it works. Overall It is a great spot and highly recommend the house and the city.
