"We were pleasantly surprised by this property, and wished that our travel itinerary was such that we could have stayed more than just one night. Beth, the innkeeper, is personable and tends to every detail. The property is lovely and peaceful. Great dining options just a walk away, train to the city around the corner, and a lovely neighborhood to walk around and revel in the architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright. Highly recommended inn. We shall reurn."
"Only thing I didn’t like is who ever cleaning the rooms not clean it real good or sanitizing I had ants around my Jacuzzi tub because somebody had probably previous had beer in there and it was a beer bottle top so I had to clean it myself. The shower was nasty. I wasn’t able to take a shower I had to just wash up. when I pay that type of money, I expect to be able to take showers and relax without having to clean it. The overall experience is cool. The customer service is very great."
"Very convenient for visiting Frank Lloyd Wright sites in Oak Park. Train station less than a block away. Located in the Pleasant historic neighborhood in a classic building, we enjoyed the classic lobby vibe. Room was basic but clean with a nice kitchenette. We loved the plentiful free parking and the on-site bistro with outdoor seating"
"It was super close to the united center which we were in town for an event at. House was clean and had plenty of space for us and a back yard sitting area. Was nice to have two bathrooms!Checking in was easy and we never had any issues."

"Do your research before staying here. We stayed for two nights. Not a good neighborhood to stay in, and don’t go out after dark. There is only street parking and there was no where to park. Did end up getting blocked in by other cars. Did hear a lot of gunshots outside our second night here and definitely didn’t feel safe. The doors could have had better locks. I feel like I could have kicked open the doors myself. There isn’t any reviews on here, but if you go to RedAwning.com the reviews there aren’t good. If you want to stay here with 5-6 people, don’t. The pullout couch mattress was so thin that you could feel every bar. We brought our own food and had to throw it away the second day because there was so many small ants everywhere in the kitchen. Will not be back!"
"Before arriving at this property, we had stayed at a Motel 6 where everything was damp and smelled unpleasant. We were really hoping this place would be better — and thankfully, it was! We finally slept in a dry, clean bed. The bathroom was comfortable and included shampoo and shower gel. There was a small fridge and a private microwave, which was very convenient. The room overall was cozy and well-equipped. Parking was easy and accessible, and we appreciated that the security cameras were working — it helped us feel safe and sleep peacefully.
What could be improved:
– We found false eyelashes and hair on the floor.
– There was quite a bit of dust on the baseboards.
– The lighting in the room was quite dim.
Thank you for a nice and restful stay! 👍
