One of the more affordable hotel options in Hollywood area. Nothing fancy, just a place to sleep at night.
Property: Old two-story building with refurbished individual rooms (e.g. floors, bathroom tile, furniture). Smells faintly of curry (didn’t notice after 5 min). Stairs, no elevator.
Parking: Tight alleyway entrance/exit behind the hotel with about 8 parking spots. My rental Ford Bronco was able to park there both nights of my stay. Nearby street parking rarely available.
Room: Lighting was 2 dim fluorescents overhead, no lamps. Extra firm bed with 3 pillows, headboard w/ side tables, small table and chairs, mini fridge (made noise), benches for luggage, TV (I never used). Windows w/ wooden blinds, no curtains/drapes, view of a wall, and I needed sleep mask at night. Bathroom w/ hairdryer, towels, soap bar, packets of shampoo and conditioner, toilet and shower. Lighting was a bit better. Shower head bound with electrical tape, water pressure was low-ish with decent hot water. Some noise heard between rooms, I listened to ambient noise with my phone at night for sleep.
Service: First call to hotel was met with someone (she/her?) that was abrupt/short and unhelpful with their answers. I inquired about possibility of early check-in, and they replied “No.” I asked where parking was because the entrance is not clearly visible from street, and they said “It’s in the back.” However, the person that checked me in (he/him?) smiled, communicated friendly, and was helpful.
