Riverside Romance & Adventure at the Aspen Cabin on the Alta Ranch

"Our goal was to unplug/get away and this is precisely what we found at Alta Ranch. The location 30 mi from the nearest town was exactly what we wanted- peaceful, beautiful, perfect. We enjoyed walking throughout the expansive property- along the river, through the fields and woods- almost as much as we enjoyed just sitting on the porch and soaking in the silence. Cabin had everything we needed - extra pillows & blankets, plenty of bath towels, dishes, knifes, pots/pans as well as a bbq grill with propane- and host also provided all the basic necessities (shampoo, body wash, dish soap, paper towels, etc). Host was responsive and pleasant to work with. I almost don't want to give this a 5 star rating because I want to keep the place our secret so it is always available for our return!!!"

"Excellent remote home on the river with everything you need for a great getaway. Fishing, hiking, or relaxing on the deck by the river it’s perfect for it all. We had everything we needed to cook and enjoy our time there. Planning another trip back soon. Owner very responsive to questions and concerns."

"The property was just as advertised with an exceptional rating for the hostess Lynda. She was very attentive in providing the necessary makings for an excellent stay. Fire starters, kindling and plenty of firewood were at my fingertips."

"This will likely be the cleanest VRBO accommodation I will ever stay in; my immune system might have been weakened from the experience. The property is so well thought out that it should be used as a template for others in the industry. I chuckled at the plexiglass TV remote holders attached to the armoire; this is how all things are considered for your stay. There is a fire pit, wood burning BBQ, front porch rockers, a tv loft, and a special loft for kids in one of the bedrooms. For proximity to the West Fork and features of the Bitterroot Valley, this is a spot on property for a couple (like we used it) or for a family or two."
