Riverhouse Retreat on East Fork of the Bitterroot - Stunning Views & Tranquility
10/10 Excellent
"We had a great stay at 63 Deadwood and really enjoyed the peaceful setting. The property is in a beautiful part of the Bitterroot Valley and was a nice place to relax and enjoy Montana. Keith (the host) was very responsive.Fishing on the East Fork of the Bitterroot was one of the highlights of our stay, and we also really enjoyed seeing the wildlife around the property and in the surrounding area. It’s a great location if you enjoy fishing, wildlife, mountain scenery, and just being outdoors. The house was also a convenient base for exploring Darby, Conner, Hamilton, and the surrounding area. Big Hole National Battlefield is a must. At the end of the day, it was nice to come back and enjoy the quiet surroundings and the river. One thing to be aware of is that getting down to the river can be a little challenging for people who aren’t as nimble or who have mobility issues. Bring a rope to keep from slipping down the bank.Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider coming back. It’s a beautiful, quiet Montana getaway with great fishing, wildlife, and scenery."
River's Fork Lodge
10/10 Excellent
"Great location very clean hospitable the day I stayed there though the restaurant was not open. The other restaurants are in Salmon, which are 21 miles away. other than that, everything was great."
Calaway Lodge --fishing, hunting, summer sports, winter sports, national forest
10/10 Excellent
"This will likely be the cleanest VRBO accommodation I will ever stay in; my immune system might have been weakened from the experience. The property is so well thought out that it should be used as a template for others in the industry. I chuckled at the plexiglass TV remote holders attached to the armoire; this is how all things are considered for your stay. There is a fire pit, wood burning BBQ, front porch rockers, a tv loft, and a special loft for kids in one of the bedrooms. For proximity to the West Fork and features of the Bitterroot Valley, this is a spot on property for a couple (like we used it) or for a family or two."
Riverside Romance & Adventure at the Aspen Cabin on the Alta Ranch

"We enjoyed our stay at Alta Ranch. It was only my husband and I, so Aspen was a good size for us. Pete and Val were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again."

22 Mi to Lost Trail Skiing: Serene Winter Retreat
8/10 Good
"The property is easily accessible from a highway. It has extensive river frontage so it has ample opportunity for fishing from the bank - the current is swift. Highway noise is covered by the river flowing by. The screened in porch was enjoyable with a breeze on cool mornings & evenings. Main bedroom has views of the creek and mountains across the valley. Neighborhood is quiet. Wifi is sufficient that even though there is no cell service, you can still make calls thru wifi. Kitchen, bathroom and bedroom linens provided. Comfortable chairs and bed."
