We arrived early and had a snack in the cafe until our room was ready. Great food. Dinner that night was delicious and plentiful. The staff was great and we had a conversation with Colin and Justin who very gracious. Would love to come again.

What a beautiful hotel! The room we had was bright and very spacious. Food and service in the restaurant and cafe were wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there! Being able to look out at the ocean was such a gift. Thank you for hosting us!

The North Star is an excellent place to stay in Louisberg! The accomodations are amazing- the ocean view units are spectacular.The decor is beautiful throughout. The restaurants serve wonderful local food. Highly recommended!

North Star was so beautiful . We had an ocean view room which was amazing ( thank you Mrs MacDonald for the upgrade) . All the staff were awesome especially Colin and Justin who own this wonderful resort. All the staff never stopped seeing that everyone was well looked after. Hope one day to go back for longer, already miss the place.

Clean room, nice location (right near Louisbourgh fortress), quiet, restaurants on site, tasteful beach-inspired decor, spacious room, friendly &helpful staff. Very firm bed. Very small bathroom mirror - hard for shorter people to apply makeup. Our room included dishes, cutlery, microwave, kettle, coffeemaker, bar fridge.

Beautifully appointed rooms with stunning views. Spotlessly clean and fresh, great design. High speed wifi with every comfort you could require. The hotel is located on a point 5 minutes from the Fort of Louisburg. Each room had its own entrance and was beautifully decorated. We had dinner in the restaurant which also had entertainment. The waiters looked familiar and had Scottish accents. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. There was lots of parking and we could see the Fort of Louisburg from our window. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again if we ever came back.

We so enjoyed meeting the owners Colin and Justin, we are super fans of their tv shows. We had our dinner at the Bothy, the dish was superb. We also had breakfast and was equally delicious. The room was very tastefully decorated and the bed & towels etc were exceptionally clean. #10 at North Star Suites in Louisbourg, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia is not just a hotel it’s an experience. We wanted for nothing. Thank you so much to all of the staff. The reception, the servers, the chef, the cook, the cleaning staff and everyone else that I might have missed
