It was like stepping back in time very old hotel with decor from 1960 ish . The bed was very hard the Airconditioning didn’t work properly. The cleaning staff and lady in breakfast room were lovely along with the receptionist. The gentleman that did the night shift was very cranky. The shower was only a very low low to no pressure. The hair dryer was from the 60s could dry hair . It’s very convenient to rail way station.

This hotel was very accessible from the train station and very accessible to the walled city, the room was spacious and clean. We were surprised that the air-conditioning was not available until May 1 which was after our stay overall would recommend it to anyone for a 2 to 3 day stay

The location right next to the train station is so convenient (couple blocks to the walled portion of the city). The staff appears to be a family, super cute and helpful. Rooms are pretty large. The beds were maybe not the best but we'd totally stay here again given all the other benefits. Breakfast was delicious and varied with many options. This hotel is a gem!

This hotel is very close to the train station and very central to the walls. The staff were particularly lovely. The hotel could do with some updating. The breakfast was varied but the doughnuts were a bit stale. I particularly enjoyed sweets at breakfast. The shower was small and we kept knocking it off, also the shower needed updating. Room was a large size and bed massive an clean.

If you are arriving/departing by train (Lucca) this is an excellent location as Hotel Rex is a couple of minutes walk away. The hotel is also very close to the city's renaissance walls. The hotel has whimsical decorations, a place for children to play, and a good breakfast. A table outside of our room had biscuits on it. I'm pretty sure other rooms had the same treat. Staff were pleasant and friendly. Outside the property was road construction, but it was not noisy.
