The place was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay very much.
I was planning a proposal weekend and needed the place to stay. I was excited when I found this place and it was so perfectly located to everything in Luray that I had planned. A small drive to the caverns, within minutes to stores and restraunts, and not far from scenic overlooks to enjoy a sunset.
Absolutely wonderful stay from the beginning to the end! We would definitely recommend the Little Red Barn if you are looking for a quiet, quaint, and picturesque getaway. Yes, we would certainly stay again !
Our stay was pleasant. The property was well kept and we had everything needed for an enjoyable stay. The hosts communicated well and were very helpful. Also, we had a fantastic meal at the speakeasy. I highly recommend this place.
My husband and I absolutely loved this little place 😊 It is super close to just about anything you need, and plenty of activities in the area with beautiful views. The barn is super cute, clean and comfortable. The fact that we could bring our American Bully with us was a huge bonus. It was his first trip, and he definitely had as much fun as we did 💜 The property owners are also extremely nice and responsive to messages. We would absolutely stay here again.
This is a great set up and I would consider it dog FRIENDLY, not just “dogs allowed”. The yard space was fabulous for our dog to play ball. We enjoyed sitting out on the patio watching 6-8 deer pass through the fields. Bed was comfy. Highly recommend!
Omg we loved this barn so much! We loved how everything was there such as things you would need to cook with and eat. It's a must stay environment!! It was so beautiful watching the deer at night in the field right beside barn! This was way better than any other cabin I have stayed in!
The tiny barn is charming and intimate. It has a well-appointed kitchen, a cozy gas fireplace, a comfy bed and a cute, cute bathroom. We had a tiny glitch getting into the place, but our hosts immediately took care of it. They were very responsive. The place is also well located... just around a corner and up a hill from the entrance to the Luray Caverns. My husband and I will definitely be back.
We were in town for a wedding. The weekend was amazing. The weather was beautiful fall days. Be mindful of the fog in the evenings. It was such a cute place to stay! We loved it. I only wished we had a 4th day to stay and enjoy the back patio. We look forward to staying again, in 2024.
The area is beautiful and the cavern is stunning and we had two outstanding meals at the caverns Stalactite Cafe. All the staff were wonderful and so friendly. We as well had an amazing meal at Ollie Cat Cafe where they take great pride in their food and customer service. The little red barn was cute and location was great the only down side was the weather was very cold and the downstairs heating was not up to the task unfortunately.
It was a great location close to Luray and stores and easy access to Skyline Dr.
Host responded quickly and it was comfortable cozy stay.
We would have liked to open windows to have a cross breeze, couldn’t get cross breeze ,other side no screens. Bathroom is one first level and bedroom on 2nd.
Over all was a great little place! Thank you for sharing your place with us and others.
We had a great weekend in Luray with the little red barn as our jumping off point. We were minutes away from everything in town. The caverns were so great as were the garden maze and ropes course. We loved grabbing food downtown at Broad Porch, Gathering Grounds (closed Sundays, so go on Sat), the outdoor beer garden, Hawksbill Brewery (Mexican food truck on prem), and more! It was lovely to come back to the barn for the late evenings. We roasted marshmallows by the solo stove, did some start gazing and even were able to walk to Flotzies for a soft serve treat Friday night. The house was clean and quaint and perfect for our weekend as a fam of 3 plus our dog. Definitely recommend!
My sister and I wanted to meet up halfway between where we both lived for a few days of sister time and exploring. We found the little red barn and it was just right. We got up early the first morning to go up on Skyline Drive and watch the sunrise at Buck Hollow overlook and what a site. Went to Lauray caverns that day then hiked one of the many trails off skyline and also just drove for miles enjoying the beautiful views. Saturday we drove to Monticello to tour Thomas Jefferson’s home. Very informative. And went to a great winery for wine and dinner. Mount Ida reserve. Had a good dinner in town Lauray one night at the speakeasy. I have to mention a great spot called the Blue Ridge pottery in Stanardsville Virginia. That had amazing homemade pottery for great prices. Thank you for such a nice place for my sister and I to spend some time together. Hope to be back.
We really enjoyed the 5 nights we spent at the Little Red Barn and wish we could have stayed longer. The location is great as there is a lot to do within an hour's drive of the property. While the rental isn't super remote it was nice to be able to pop up to the Wal-Mart for things we forgot to pack. The rear patio is perfectly situated so you don't face the street and dear came every evening to graze in the field. The owner was very responsive when we decided to add an extra night to our booking. Also, they checked on us in a non-intrusive way to ensure that everything was to our liking. As long as you can manage stairs the rental is very comfortable. It was our first visit to the Shenandoah Valley, and we loved it. I'm sure we'll be back and would stay here again.
We stayed for the weekend.
My Wife Son, my mother and our dog.
The barn is cozy and looks amazing
Clark and Gloria thank you!
for renting us the barn.
The Luray caverns were in a walking distance but we drove over and there’s parking at Luray and parking at the Barn that is private.
There’s a Walmart not far away.
The barn is near from the restaurants strip.
The fact that everything is near by, but the location of the barn is retired and peaceful away from everything.
There’s also a road near by that connects areas but is not annoying gets super lonely especially at nights.
The Barn was loaded with all the needs, in Kitchen, bath and living room.
At nights by the fire and great time at the grill, there were two gas tanks full.
My Dog had a big land to play.
I travel constantly and from my experience I can tell you is a great place to stay for the weekend or more.
I hope you get to experience it too.
The Tiny Barn was very cozy with all the necessities that we needed. I highly recommend this place if you want to visit Luray. Thank you Gloria for being a wonderful host.
Very close to Luray Caverns and Cooters Dukes of Hazard Museaum. Quick trip to Monticello and stopped on way north at New River Gorge Bridge walk and stopped at Waltons Museum in Schuyler on the way home. Really enjoyed the stay. Everything you need for a relaxing weekend. Stop by Flotzies for some great ice cream.
