“We had a great time staying at Roland's place for three nights. It's a nice simple setup, clean, small kitchen, two nice bedrooms. Just what we needed for a brief stay while we hit up a nearby music festival. Telegraph Avenue is a short walk away and downtown Oakland a slightly longer walk. All sorts of great food and restaurants close by. Stop by Jebena Cafe in the morning for a great coffee and a Sambosa, or Dan Sung Sa for good Korean and a fun atmosphere. “Lovely condo in upscale building. Secure, with advanced fire safety. Clean, nicely decorated. Small, attractive patio. Good kitchen. Very sunny, usually a big plus, though we arrived during a heat wave. Opened screened door & windows in the evening and used tower fans in bedrooms. Did not use portable room a/c in living room. May need additional screens in the future if heat waves increase. (Building has central a/c but not in units, I think.) Easier stay this time without car, but garage……
