This was a sleep stop on our way to Drummond Island. The place was great for a good nights rest, quiet and clean. It is an older hotel, but is with in walking distance to the casino , to walk a block and stretch your legs and have a drink after your road trek to Macinaw City. Hey the price is very affordable , before you head north to the U.P,

The gentleman that checked us I In was awesome. Then on the second day I went to the office to voice a concern about seeing a cockroach on my pillow and the lady that was there didn’t seem to concerned and really all she asked is if we were checking out I said no and she said nothing else. And the pool was not heated as it said on the app. I did like how close it was to downtown.

We had the double room with a hot tub. I dont think using the hot tub would be safe, you could feel the floor moving as we walked. You could tell things hadnt been deep cleaned in some time. The bedding was nice and newer, tv and both air conditioners worked well. $88 for such a large room makes it hard to complain, but we wouldnt stay again. Check in staff was polite - we had to check in at the building next door.

The room we stayed in was clean, just basic. We stayed at the budget inn and they make it very clear through the booking and on the lobby door of the budget inn that you checkin/out at the Thunderbird Inn next door. The rooms were basic and felt equal to the affordable price we paid. The pools were not open but it was a cold memorial day weekend trip. I got to bring my dog for only $25 for the whole 4 nights. It was a great stay, it was quiet. I wish there was more lighting outside for when I walked my dog at night, but not a big deal! Good place, staff was helpful and kind!!
