False advertisement, they show only partial pictures of the hotel, so we thought we had a view of the water, nope, a view of the overfull dumpster and trash everywhere. Most uncomfortable room and hotel I've ever had to stay in and we travel a lot. Don't stay here ever!

I booked a king Delux room ... paid extra and didnt even get that room. Check in at 4 couldnt get in till 6.. no water oark.. pool disgusting no water In hot tub.. hair in tub and in sink

They never came to clean our room, not even to bring clean towels. There was 2 lounges on the beach. The beach was nice after you got past the weeds. The room was beautiful and clean, the beds were comfortable. I would stay here again if they at least brought clean towels everyday without having to call and ask for them. This is a sandy beach ⛱️ you need clean towels every day!

There were cookie crumbs, plastic wrapper on the floor, no tissue box. The bathroom floor was very outdated and the room is dark. Just scary to use. Also the carpet in the room looked dirty.

For starters, right outside our door was a broken piece of glass (windowpane?) the room was definitely not vacuumed. The air conditioner had about a 2 inch Gap to the outside allowing room for just about any bug in. There was enough hair still left in the shower that I can tell you exactly what color hair the last guest had. Gross. Then, the pool, sauna, and hot tub... The standards from the state in Michigan must be very different than in Illinois. The water was hazy in the pool. The sauna was non-functioning and even if it did function the door didn't close. It was covered in dust and the roof was falling in. The hot tub had a ton of debris at the bottom of it. We definitely did not use pool/sauna/hot tub, and frankly they should be shut down. Was told by the person checking Us in that they would have toast and coffee out until 9:00, but come morning the door was locked with the sign saying they wouldn't open until 9:00. Location on the water is the ONLY thing good about this place. Terrible experience. First time I've ever written such a bad review.

Okay spot and an okay stay. Best part about the hotel, it’s right on the water and pet friendly. Worst part, it’s older, really dated and in need of a good cleaning. Around Mackinaw you get what you pay for and this is about the cheapest hotel around.

The mold in the room was awful. 0 cleaning had been done. It was a terrible stay and we ended up deciding to leave only one day into the stay. The room looked nothing like the pictures provided. Avoid this place like the plague.

Pool was not cleaned at all. Towels were left in the pool room for well over 24 hours without being picked up. The hot tub was full of sand and also looked like it had not been cleaned in some time. The pool is one of the main reasons we booked this hotel. The elevator quit working the first day and the same items on the floor the whole time. Just wasn’t want we were expecting from the pictures that were online. Now our room was clean the first shift worker was very friendly and helpful.

When we got to our room, the balcony over looking the water was covered in bugs outside. So we couldn't enjoy sitting outside. And when we came in latwr, pur front door was swarming with some kind of bugs. We could barely get in the room and when we did it let the bugs in. So we spent alot of time killing the bugs. And the pool area looked like something from a horror movie.

The location is in walking distance of many shops, activities and the Arnold ferry service which I highly recommended using if you are heading to Mackinac.The room was comfortable, linens were clean as was the bathroom. Do not rely on the breakfast. Coffee was hit and miss when available. Food items were minimal, prepackaged granola bars and muffins. It’s a shame the dining area was closed as this is a missed opportunity for the hotel. Remember this is right near the water so yes there are birds and bugs flying around. The fireworks on Saturday night was an unexpected surprise. I recommend : Icebreaker Mackinaw Maritime Museum. Being able to tour a retired Coast Guard ship was awesome. Go further north for even more places showcasing the Coast Guard! Old Mackinac Point Lighthouse Headlands International Dark Sky park Mackinac Island - you will need multiple days just for this The Hook restaurant in Mackinaw isn’t worth what you pay. The food was cooked good but all three meals at the table were under seasoned. Toast to go go has a decent breakfast buffet. Make sure to grab a coupon from the front desk for a buy one get one free. Murray Hotel on Makinac has a restaurant that has quick and delicious food. Their burritos are amazing. Take it to go and sit in the park and enjoy the atmosphere. A little further North to Penny’s Kitchen in Sault Ste Marie. They have a great breakfast!! While you are there visit some local shops, Soo Locks and even take a boat tour.
